The class 331, introduced in 2019, was built by CAF under their Civity platform and comes in formations of 3 and 4 coaches. Operated by Northern, these trains are to increase capacity on electrified regional and commuter services around the cities of Manchester, Leeds, and Liverpool, and replace the ageing sprinters and “beloved” pacers.

This pack contains both 3 and 4 coach formations in Northern Trains livery. Turn on/off whichever you please in the content manager.

This train has a real life top speed of 160 kph (100 mph) and is thus deemed an express train with an in game top speed of 150 kph (IPT2 train speed setting of 24).

can you please make a double consist of these and the 195s at some point? seeing as they run in double consists a lot irl it would be interesting to have the variety in the game

@N.Ward, Thank you very much!! I am planning on getting the 195 out soon as well, considering the models are so similar it shouldn't be a huge amount of work.

Such a beautiful train, and as beautiful a model, very well done. I wish I knew how to make assets like this. Also are you planning to do a class 195 because it looks odd with the pantograph up on non-electrified lines?
