PLR II - Parking Lots with Planters


Prolog

Hello all together !

And another side - project which I finished to make "release ready" ... :)
This time something for the detailers ...


The whole concept is nothing new.... as you might already now. ;)
Badi_Dea came up with the idea an created his awesome parking lot roads.
I really love them and used them a lot since they came out.

I started this set as an additon to the initial upload by Badi_Dea.
Therefore and in appreciation to his work, I called these PLR II which stands for
Parking Lot Roads 2. Creative, isn´t it ?! :P


These are the first 5 different types of parking lots.
All types are shown on the pictures below:

You´ll find them in the road maintenance tab.











About the Models

  • all share the same 256 x 1024 px texture
  • 32² lod texture for all models
  • all arround 120 tris

Dependencies

The lovely parking meters created by Spence !

They´ll be always at the right position, because the cars will always park at the
same spot. ;)

And an anarchy mod of course. Otherwise you won´t be able to put these spots on to
the road.

With the help of that mod the used ram for this asset will be only 400 kb instead of
2 MB, because every asset uses the same texture.

As a separate suggestion that would be a nice to have, perhaps these, but the parking lot line length matching the line length on Badi_Dea parking lines. Now I know you haven't created the little parking bumper, but perhaps you could reach out to Badi_Dea and see if he could provide you with that component.

@Clus I love these. However, I need just the snap-to planter (the markings under the planter preferred obviously). This way I can control how many parking spaces are in-between planters. This is necessary when replicating real life areas. As a release priority, I need the 90 degree versions. Would this be possible?

The "bigger" ones can be used with my tram (plr) roads (which provide the necessary space for them), as well as with the original plr roads provided by Badi_dea.

I have 90 and 60 degree, yet PLII road 1, 2, 3 aren't wide enough. I opened link with find it, and it loads this page. What am I missing, if I place the 90 or 60 on PLII it nearly covers the whole road.

Version 1.3.1 of Curb Height Adjuster adds support for these excellent assets!

@Ceko1990 I am no modder, but I doubt that these could be made compatible with Curb Height Adjuster. That mods changes all (!) networks at once during the loading process ... its not possible (or at least not easy) to just pick individual ones.
These here are at first no networks ;) and you would have to "tell" a potential mod all individual asset names in order to have that mod be able to change the models. Dont know how I could explain that better ... sry. The only solution for your request would be, that I manually change the shader of every single asset in this pack to make them raisable and reupload them again... and tbh, thats nothing I want to do. ;) Way too much work, plus it might destroy peoples work, who used them as they are ... I might add some raisable ones in the future, but the rest stays as they are.
