STATUS 911 Safari

描述

Previously, only electric motors allowed for a smooth transition between forward and reverse with the w/s keys. Finally, I've tamed the beast. Drive it just as you naturally would. No changing gears, no pressing extra buttons, just go forward with W, and brake and reverse with S. Just like it should be.

A sportscar should have great acceleration. I've combined three gearboxes into a six speed (7 actually, but one speed isn't used) automatic transmission, and the clutch stays engaged when off the throttle to keep your rps up in turns allowing you to blast out of corners.

Speed is nothing if you can't control it. I designed the Safari 911 to be fun to drive, and easy to control. Top speed is 120 mph, and the car is very stable and controllable at any speed.

Additionally, you'll find that nearly everything is adjustable from the microcontroller on the roof. You can adjust the idle, sensitivity of the variable brakes, clutch, and steering, as well as change the speed conversion between mph, kph, and m/s.

First and foremost, thank you for checking out my Porsche. I have put a ton of time into its design, and especially into the microcontrollers inside it. I hope you enjoy taking it off some sweet jumps. If you have any questions or suggestions about the microcontroller systems which control the car, please leave a comment. I'm always looking to improve them. The speed sensitive steering was not created by me, and is from a controller I found on the workshop which I found worked great.

Last and certainly not least, a special thanks to kutyax. His awesome Carrera RS inspired me to change the scale of my car, and definitely influenced the final design.

Lots of testing and trying different ideas. Got to make sure your engine isn't overwhelming your traction. Lots of power is no good if you're spinning the wheels.

how did you get so much grip? all of my creations drift all over when i don't want them too.

A piece of art. Still one of the best cars on the workshop.
Not only did you reach incredible levels of details on a design perspective, you also managed to cramp a lot of technology inside to make this car an absolute gem. Fast, flexible, feels like a Porsche should do.
Keep the great work up man, I'm excited to see your future work.
