Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-Earth - Basic

The Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-earth[www.fantasyflightgames.com], a fully co-operative, app-supported fantasy board game for 1 to 5 players! Each individual game of Journeys in Middle-earth is a single adventure in a larger campaign.

This a revision of FondueTime's original workshop mod. I have reworked the map-tiles to better fit together, and set the Hex Grid to 3 inches even. The UI for the tile bag has been made more user friendly. The table has been reorginized to fit the larger map. Also, the first expansion cards have been added.


Camera Views...

• Shift-0 & Space: Entire Table,
  
• Shift-1..5: Player Mats 1..5,
• Shift-6: Map of Middle-Earth,
  
• Shift-7: Terrain Bags,
• Shift-8: Rules, and
  
• Shift-9: Journey Map-Tiles and Main Decks.

To use a View press Shift+Number. To save a View press Control+Number. Number Zero is the main view shown when you press the Space key.

I have added some View buttons (Eye Icon) so that players, other than the host, can find the various views.


On each Player mat is a counter (in the Token Bag area) to help keep track of your actions. Each time you take an action, click the counter to decrease the value. Click the '+' button next to it to increase the value.


Map Tiles...
On the left side of the table is a large, blue button that says 'Keep Clear'. Below that are the buttons to make a map tile. Enter the tile designate (e.g. "100A", "202b") into the input box and press 'Make the Tile'. The +/- buttons can also be used to select or file tune a tile selection.

To rotate the tile, make sure the 'Rotation Degrees' on the Top Menu is set to 30 degrees.

In order to lineup the Journey map tiles in the FFG app, with this Mod's tiles, you can rotate the app (Windows: Use either, the 'Q' and 'E' keys, or the right mouse button).

To the top-left of the Map, there is a button to Clear the Map. When used any Hero figurines on the Map will be placed in the Trash at the bottom-middle of the Map. Also to the top-left of the Map, there are buttons to Move all of the objects on the map in one of six hexagonal directions: North-East, South-East, South, South-West, North-West and North. Since there is no boundary checking, use caution with these buttons. Objects might be moved off of the map, or into a bag!


As always, anyone wishing to use or adapt any or all of this Mod's script and GFXs in your own Mod may do so freely.

My automated version of this Mod, Automatic - Journeys in Middle-Earth is now up and running! So for those of you who dislike the housekeeping of a game, you should give this a try.
