描述
THIS MOD REQUIRES YOU TO HAVE EITHER: RESOURCEFUL 2 OR BOTH SUKRITACT'S RESOURCES AND CIVITAS RESOURCES

Bored of only seeing a few different luxury resources on each map? Want more luxury variety on land and in the water? Luxury Resource Variety increases the number of unique luxury types on each map size! The result is more interesting map generation that makes full use of the variety of luxuries in the game!

Note that this mod DOES NOT AFFECT THE AMOUNT OF TILES WITH LUXURY RESOURCES! That still depends on your resource setting (e.g. Sparse, Abundant, etc.). This mod only affects how many different KINDS of luxuries you will see on the map.

Information
This mod increases the variety of luxury resources you will see on each map size by increasing the number of continents each map AND forcing each map size to have all available sea luxury resources.

Why is this mod necessary? In Civilization VI, you never see all 32 unique land luxury resources on the map in one game! This is because the number of unique luxury types is directly tied to map size and continents.

Each map size will always create a certain number of named continents, and each named continent will spawn 4 types of luxury resources. For example, "Standard" gives the map 4 continents; therefore, you will only see 16 luxury resource types on land. However, with this mod, "Standard" will generate 6 continents and 24 luxury resource types!

Additionally, each map will generate all sea luxury resource types instead of the old limits.

This mod REQUIRES the Gathering Storm expansion and either

Resourceful 2

OR

CIVITAS Resources
and
Sukritact's Resources

Without these, the game does not have enough luxury resource types to pull from.

This mod is fully compatible with:
  • All map script mods
  • All map size mods
  • All other resource type mods, including Resourceful
  • Truly Abundant Resources

I'm using sukritact's oceans and for some reason I never have more than 5 types of sea luxuries.

Hi! Is it possible to use this mod without resource mods if you are selecting a map size with less than 32 luxes? I.e. a standard map should only generate 24 luxes, thus not requiring the extra resource mods?

Is there a way to make sea resources and land resources more balanced and dispersed? otherwise one of the best mods for this game! thanks a lot

Hi pOkiehl, I started a game with this mod & the "Got Lakes" map mod enabled. I set got lakes to give me a numerous continent map with low sea level- six continents, large map.

I got seven continents and 28 luxuries (includes 6 sea luxuries), a bit random. I repeat tested with a small map and a huge map.

Small map with the got lakes settings set to generate 3 continents I got 5, and there were in total 23 luxuries, and that includes 6 sea luxuries, and query one more as amber was present. So 16 or 17 land luxuries, not 12 or 20. Huge map I set Got Lakes to the lowest sea level, which is intended to give you 7 continents. Result - I got 8 continents, and 37 luxuries in total. Of those, 6 were sea resources (no sea urchins or amber), meaning I got another odd number on land (31).

This is intended to be constructive feedback, not a whine. I actually quite like the random results from the two mods interacting. Do you have a buy-me-a-coffee link?

I have Civitas, Sukritracts, resourceful 2, and latin american resources on but I am getting no sea luxuries. I usually set to large map with plentiful resources. Is that what is affecting it? Im trying to get to the bottom of this issue because no sea luxuries is such a bummer

I'm wondering if you have considered the balance of this mod. Too many types of luxury goods can lead to a complete overflow of the amenity value.
In my game I don't need to build any entertainment district to get +8 +9 amenity.
