描述
Dover is a pretty Earth-Like planet with some interesting factors. Land to water mass is very similar to the Old Earth in the Sol system, but the entire planet seems to be in one biome unlike the old earth. With Rolling hills, tall mountains and long beaches Dover really is a beautiful Paradise, but it has some strange factors like a very low atmosphere so be careful not to fly to high with atmospheric crafts. The planet is also plagued with extremely high wind speeds due to flat terrain in combination with tall mountains accelerating the wind.There also seems to be two large volcanos on the surface, dormant for many decades..
Another thing it seem to have in common with the old earth is the overall look and feel as they really reminds you the cliffs of Dover, which is why the first explorers called it Dover.

Dover is made with mostly custom voxels textures and will not override any vanilla textures.

--- Planet Settings ---

Recommended Size = 120000m (120km)
Oxygen Level = High
Atmosphere density = x1.1
Wind Speed = 95 (Vanilla is 80)
Weather = Similar to Earth-Like
Gravity = 1G
Ore Distribution = Similar to Vanilla Earth-like, Ores does not spawn under ice. No ore patches, so get your large detectors out!

And yes, Economy Trade stations work fine with this :)

Changes from the Original?
- New voxels for: Sand, Rock, Ice and Soil.
- Working custom clouds
- Ore rebalance
- Improved voxel transitions and tree distribution / Layout
- The only thing that is left of the original one is the height map
- 3 versions, one with reflective ice, one with a more vanilla like ice and a water mod variant

This planet was originally not made by me, but rather a large overhaul of the original one since it was broken.
I would like to thank the original creator for making this since I did love it when it worked back in the day, which is why I decided to remake it

Original

Shift+F10 to spawn

Water version now available now! Just load the water mod and spawn the "Dover Water" planet!
Click here for the Water Mod
This version is still WIP, so some things may look strange. Shorelines/beaches are very steep and the underwater may look strange at times

Now has support for the Real Solar Systems Mod!
No new mod needed, its the Proxy is baked into this one! Just load up a Real Solar System world and spawn your desired variant!

Thanks to Major Jon and his awesome planets, Dover now has some better weather effects!

]Latest Update: 13th September 2025:
- Added the new food bushes to the spawn pool

Enjoy

My bad, forgot to add it to the water version, should be fixed now.
As for ores, they are a lot more tricky to find without ore spots, which makes it a bit harder. Focus on getting the large grid ore detector fast.

@General Tide
It is mentioned bellow, but there is a bug with RSS and weather effects which can make all the weather spawn incorrectly. Sadly I havent found a fix yet.

@Syrius
Just tested it with RSS in a new world and it works just fine. Ores spawn and everything except the weather bug is working fine for me at least.

Sorry, should state I am also using the plain Dover with water (Not using RSS)

Thanks for letting me/other know that this planet isn't working with RSS (or at all, no ores?).

I'll throw in a Gas Giant as a filler planet until this hopefully gets an update to swap it out in RSS.

Noticed the rain "clouds" are spawning sideways and the rain is falling sideways relative to the surface for some reason. Using the water mod version with RSS.

Not seeing food after 30 min of traveling, nor do I see any ores popping up on the detector too

For your first question, yes all version are in this mod, including the files to make RSS work. You only need to have the water mod installed as its not a dependency.
As for Apex, it does work I think, but haven't really checked if the food spawns. If it doesnt, I'll probably have a look at some point.
And for RSS, its a shame if its broke, but I havent tested it yet

Also forgot to ask:
Does this planet work with Apex Update?
I was reading in Echthros's Discord that Apex broke a lot of worlds (for RSS?).

Echthros:
As far as I can tell, it's only affecting premade worlds made before the latest update that people start with. The deserialization of the save data is failing because the format got updated and the Config that normally would be used as a backup doesn't get copied for some reason. If you build your own or are going off an existing save, it should update fine. It's only new saves made from workshop worlds having issues, from what I can see.

So this one download has the water mod baked in, not separated into two different world mods, one with RSS and one with RSS + Water?

Just asking as others have usually made a world uploaded it, then made a water mod version of it and uploaded that one as a separate world file (Think it's super cool of you to put them all into one download if that's what you've done).

Thanks! I did eventually find snow, but it was 130 km away from where I set up shop, lol. Someone in discord also told me about the collector making ice, which I did not know it did with the water mod.

As for the weather... damn. That sucks. Hopefully it can be sorted out eventually.

For your first point, if you are using RSS (real solar system) the weather seems bugged. It is like that on basically all RSS planets sadly.
For your other question, I think there should be ice, if not you at least have snow on the mountain tops to mine. However, since you are using the water version, simply create a collector underwater and it will fill with ice!
