SSI FIB-16 "Pickerel"

The SSI FIB-16 is a fast insertion boat in use by the SSI Navy and Special Forces. The boat can reach a staggering 48kts max speed and cruises at around 25kts. With fuel to last well over 50km at cruise it can reach far from it's start point and can even handle big waves, at the cost of speed. The FIB-16 can hold a 10 person team that it can insert along shore line's using it's bow door to deploy troops. It has a two person crew with a Coxswain and a navigator. The boat can lower it's mast to potentially fit into tighter space's like for example the well deck of LHD's. The boat is versitile in use and can perform S&R and rescue people from shore. The name Pickerel comes from it's been look and the look of the "mouth" at the front of the boat.
