描述
It’s a semi-trasparent recreation of the character creator to my taste with 349 species slots, for peoples are likes filling up the universe with sentient if not sapient life. To be able to choose any of them for a play session or at least able to stare at them.

now sprinkled with quality of life ( and art ) changes to be more useable to multiple of devices and, also, be more interesting to look at while you make your pretty or unspeakable character to later terrorize npcs in the digital plains.


Now those sudden comfort ruining alterations are:

A at first and second glance not obvious slot rearrangement on the interface, to hopefully be compatible with different screen sizes which normally wouldn't work with, by playing with the slots placements.



A updated and squeezed outlook for the interface, to be more visibly fabulous and fit a little more species in it,
tho still not complable with nonexistent giants and other extensive pixelated bio-artistry by it’s design.

Technical informations at last

These are the working sizes in game at fullscreen

1024x768 the smallest


1152x864 between in the middle panels


1280x720 middle category zoomed in
Also the back button unclickable but escapeable


1280x800 also a middle category zoomed in, and works well.


1280x960 the middle zone boxted in


1366x768 beyond the middle panel


1366x768 like the 1366x768 one but less zoomed in


1440x900 like the 1366x768 one but even less zoomed in


1600x900 the normal state of the game

And onward there's no meaningful changes, only one bug thats makes the game go sideway.

Possible Q&A's

This mod needs and any other mod to function?

-No, it’s works by itself.

This interface Fu compatible?

-Yes, and overwrites it. From recent testing, it's work with only from the workshop and the game's mod folder.

Can I make edits/reskins for it, or modified interfaces from it?

-yes, you can. and you don’t need to credit me or tell me about it, only if you want to.

sometimes the character creation menu freezes i dont know if its the other mods i have or just this one but here my collection:

can confirm, edited the mod (hope that's okay) to reverse the order of the right hand column from 85 > 165 to 165> 85, fills from the bottom up now and ignores the deadzone that @Nillke mentioned (at least till you start to fill those last 4/5 rows >.>), so can see character mouse overs now

in reference too @SomeGoodSWEDE and @The ℕ𝕌𝕋 (ᴴᴰ) 's issue, would it help to make the right side go in reverse order, so bottom to top instead of top down, at least for a quick fix?

Does this change the character select screen? Right now you CAN make all of those characters, but having the select screen only show 4 at a time can make it hard to pick the one you want to play as.

Awesome mod. however some races that are put on some slots will be missing body parts :jawafrown:

It's somehow really hard to find this mod when you forget its name and need to re-subscribe

This is like the most awesome slot mod. I hope somehow the workshop picks it up better in searches xD

NEVER MIND. The "Starbound Awakens - A continuation for the Star Wars Community Mod" contains a copy of FU's config file, so it was overwriting this. Crack it open, remove it, and boom, everything works

I'm shocked and astonished. FU was overriding this mod, making the character creation the FU version. Then, I took the files from here and put them directly into the FU folder, and it still didn't work. Its baffling, and annoying. I want more race slots, and FU is going "Nope, no more for you"
