[CRD] Safety Only Jetpack

描述
Jetpack mod changes the Characters.sbc file for both characters.
Almost useless inside G, except for braking fall speed.
But normally used in zero-G.

This mode does not play well with "Configurable Parameters mod".
So if you are already using my mod, please remove it before adding the other one.

** 27/05/2023 **
The Issue with "Configurable Parameters mod" is resolved.
To remove all effect for my mode just remove the mod from the list.
To apply the Parameters mod setting try to save and restart the game.

@TheMorf With the recent changes I made to Configurable Parameters this mod should be compatible again. Could you check it out again please?

@GermanHerman, are you by chance using the Configurable Parameters mod? If so, the way that mod works with a mod like this, is that when you install Config Parameters after the Characters.sbc is edited (by this mod), Config Parameters will use those edited figures as the game's "default". So you would have to adjust to vanilla values via Config Parameters, i believe.

Hi, sorry for the inconvenience,
I have just tested it twice, once you remove the mod from the mods list
via "Load game -> Edit Settings -> Mods -> Select [CRD] Safety Only Jetpack in the Active mods list -> press '<' button -> Ok -> Load"

removing it from the modlist did not remove it from the game. any idea what to do?

The only way to disable it, is to remove it from the mods list.
No shortcuts here =)

For me it work's like a charm, forcing me to do it the hard way!

But, is there a way, for the admin, to temporarily disable it?

You are correct, it could have been more realistic if the JP would be totally useless on planets, but i wanted to be used only for safety, to brake your fall (especially if you play with friends and you have lag).
So that effect opens up few loop holes in the physics.. not much i can do about it.

Yes I would like it to be changed as it can be used to "cheat" in a sense, but i can understand there are limitations to what can be done without making the jet packs completely useless. I was really looking for a mod that would not really work in gravity but work close to normal in space.

We are aware of this, but the alternative is to be less effective at preventing high altitude fall.
In Your opinion, should this be changed?
