Gas Freighter RCS-021

Inspired by modern day LNG cargo ships, the RCS-021 can carry up to 62,500,000 litres of hydrogen gas in it’s 25 tanks as well as 5,900,000 litres of oxygen in 59 tanks. The RCS-021 is fully mod-free and survival ready, with scripts being optional.

The gas tanks are stored in 4 27.5m wide spheres, providing protection from piracy and collisions. The ship is also equipped with 4 interior turrets to deter attackers.

RCS-021 has 2 pressurised decks, connected by a corridor through gas tank 3. On board is accommodation for 5, with 4 bunks in the crew cabin and 1 in the utility room/mess hall. The main entrances to the ship are located underneath the port and starboard bridge sections.

In each gas sphere are 8 H2/O2 generators, so the ship can either be directly loaded with gas or ice to process en-route. The ship is also equipped with a jump drive and survival kit. Reactors are refilled from the maintenance deckbelow the crew cabin.

To transfer gas fully between connected ships/stations and the freighter, set the tanks on the grid you want to refill to 'Stockpile: ON' and the tanks on the ship/station you want to drain from to 'Stockpile: OFF'
