[AIS] Transponder

描述
This is an Automatic Identification System Transponder Microcontroller for vessels. As vessels get near your ship it will create and display a transponder on the monitor with information of other ships.

In upcoming updates, I will be removing the map to replace with a better transponder-like interface.
Right now other details of the vessel aren't displayed yet.

Shows other vessels on the map that are broadcasting on the transponders frequency. Does not lock onto a composite line so that every vessel gets a chance to communicate with each other.

Setup is pretty easy. Simply place the microcontroller, connect an antenna, gps, compass, linear speed, tilt sensor, throttle, and monitor.

It's been a long time. I haven't been following development. There were only like 3 monitors in the game at the time of creation. And since then other AIS modules came out. I can't even remember what my motivation was behind creating this.

But I did enjoy creating it and expressing my love for Stormworks at the time. I appreciate the fact that people are still stopping by and trying out the module. Feel free to modify it and perhaps make it your own. As for me my time within the community has come to an end for now. :steamhappy:

what monitor does it need?

It doesn't seem to be doing anything when it picks up a signal. I think I have everything connected. What could I be doing wrong?

I realized I explained it as if you need two radios, but it's just one for sending and receiving.

You need one radio for sending and one for receiving. A GPS, Compass Sensor, Linear Speed Sensor, Throttle, Tilt Sensor. They are named relative to what they connect to on the microcontroller.

This is flawless, no doubt about it. Could take some inspiration from PenguinO's air type transponder, as that works really well too.

The throttle simply shows how far a ship has their throttle pushed. Between 0 and 1. It was more or less for an update with the AIS display but due to the complicated math I haven't been able to manage rotations on shapes.
