Traders struggle to get to you, lucky if 1 makes it every 5 years(until you can bridge to side/map edge land), Rhino/mammoth wave attacks are a god send due to no animals.
Bridges are too short to make it from shallow to shallow to central isle, have to go around which is a whole season walk one way. Too many die making the bridges to get to animal filled islands, more die just walking there and back.
Opened sheep domestication, still yet to see an animal other than mammoth bison rhino and cave lion.
All this on normal(no raiders..) cant imagine playing hardcore on this location.
on the plus side there are more ores and stone than one can shake a fist at, if your prepared for the hike.. and deaths.. lots of guys do the work.. drag it some of the way back and die.
one more thing, not enough predators for cruel rulers like me.. idiot villagers refusing my input need fed to the hungry wolves and lions.
