The "RiPY" controller allows you to control the pitch and yaw angles of your "vehicle" regardless of its roll-orientation.

In simple words when a plane flies upside down, pulling up would normally make you crash.
With this controller, UP is ALWAYS up. Even when you're sideways.

Originally I made this with regular logic for use in a torpedo guidance system (that way I didn't have to worry about roll-stabilization of the torpedo).

It can however be useful for many other things, for example for an altitude hold and heading hold system in a plane.

You can find a little test-setup and example on how to wire it here:

hey- has anyone made a combined roll/pitch microcontroller?

That sounds more like an issue with your wiring.

It consists only of function blocks and those don't do anything without input.

it gives the values to the rudders even though i'm not giving any commands to the mc

No they just have to point in the right direction.

I works best when the torpedo is level. Pitching up/down may affect the output to some extend, it should still work though.

does the sensors have to be inline with the axis of roll, I'm trying to make a torpedo but the logic is giving the rudders weird values
