Ocean Harvester (whaling ship)

The Ocean Harvester is based on numerous real-world whale catchers, ships that accompany the larger factory ships that process whales into bone meal, meat, and oil. As such these catchers are supposed to be smaller and more nimble than the big factories and can keep up with pods of whale. This ship is based on modern Norwegian ships, the Australian catcher Cheynes IV, the British Ross 1, and the German Rau IX. Many, but not all, whale catchers had numbers on the side of their superstructure.

To start up, head down to the engineering room (aft of the engine room). Throw the breakers and activate the pumps. You can also activate the automatic bilges and the automatic sprinkler system. Engage the generator clutch in the engineering compartment, then climb up to the bridge. The engine can be throttled up and the drive clutch can be engaged.
