[This ship is not advanced]

[The ship is also sinkable and there's a scuttle in the bridge]

The following information and ship it talks about is fictional.

The SS Edisto was launched at the savannah shipyards on November 5th 1947 as one of the last ocean liners to be built there, its fit-out and sea trials were completed in december of that year and its maiden voyage occurred with fanfare shortly after in january 1948 beginning an illustrious career that would last for 50 years as one of the most iconic and finest ocean liners afloat, in 1958 the Edistos engines and generators were switched from steam to diesel which gave it a longer sailing range and increased the ships speed from 36 knots to 40 knots but despite the conversion the ship was still called SS Edisto by its long time travelers, the ship was also modified slightly with the installation of air conditioning for more tropical routes were air conditioning would be needed without altering the ships iconic interiors, after changing hands multiple times during the early 1960’s the Edisto took on a more leisurely life as an early cruise ship while still operating as a transatlantic ocean liner, despite the rising popularity of air travel in the 1970’s the Edisto remained popular with travelers, primarily due to its reputation for top notch service and the fine hospitality provided to guests on board, this further cemented the ships reputation and popularity and in early 1981 the ship was dry docked and all the 50’s era machinery concerning electrical systems, safety systems, propulsion systems, & engines were gutted and either replaced or modernised with the end result mechanically being a much more efficient and smoother running ship with the new engines bumping up the ship’s speed yet again this time to around 44 knots, and like the first overhaul the ships iconic interior spaces were preserved, the ship emerged from the overhaul in 1985 and celebrated 40 years of service 3 years later in 1988, as the 1990’s came around the ship was still popular with travelers and was mainly running cruises to various ocean ports at this time and despite no longer crossing the atlantic its reputation for hospitality and fine service stayed strong but, as they say, nothing good lasts forever and despite the acclaim, the hospitality, the fine service & the overhaul it received in 1981 age was still a major problem for the ship and in 1998 shortly after its 50th anniversary cruise the ship made its retirement run which sold out almost instantly and soon after the ship completed the retirement voyage it was set aside so that a preservation society could be formed to save and preserve the vessel, it succeeded in doing so and after 10 years of restoration work the ship opened to the public in 2008 to celebrate 60 years since its maiden voyage, today the ship is preserved in the savannah shipyard drydock where it had been built 70 years earlier, it is kept operational for ocean cruises, the ship has since celebrated its 72nd anniversary and a lineup of cruises has already been scheduled.

just wish there was a feature that allows "pretend" smoke to come out of funnels or something

The problem with advanced mode is that it makes too many problems, limitations, and it is really not fun for the builders.

Personally, I love advanced mode. It's fun for me, and adds so much detail.
