描述

I love how earth looks from satelitte and this love was one of the reasons I started making this mod. This mod tries to emulate that look that you get when viewing earth from satellite. Visibility comes second, beauty comes first, so beware of that.


If you want to retain multiplayer and achievement compatibility, there is a LITE version of this mod which removes some features to retain compatibility. Check it out by pressing on a image above.



I compiled a list of what's in for a treat inside this mod:
  • 34 completely new textures (from punny vanillas 12).
  • New graphics.
  • Dynamic atmosphere, political mapmode and water.
  • Sparkles effect on water.
  • Dynamic, simple borders.
  • New map font.
  • New winters.
  • New rivers.
  • Reduced topology (mountains aren't as high)
Compatibility:
  • Achievement incompatible (You won't get achievements with this mod).
  • Multiplayer incompatible (Unless everyone uses this mod).
  • Windows, Mac, Linux compatible.
Performance:
  • Performance is worse, at least judging by my unscientific measurements.
Future of the mod:
  • It certainly is rough around the edges in some areas due to how many places can get overlooked. I still want to do something about steppe area where textures are not up to par with other areas. If you find some weird looking places, please let me know.

@In heaven - Hey! I'm just leaving this comment to let you know that I've uploaded an AGOT version (which I've combined with the amazing terrain textures from your Novus Graphicus submod for AGOT) on the Workshop HERE .

I've made sure to credit you and your work wherever possible and hopefully haven't fallen foul of your policy on utilisation of assets, but if you aren't comfortable with the mod being publicly available then just say the word and I'll remove it.

How to apply only the "political map effect" in hip with lindbrook's map? I know it's something in pdxmap file, but how ??? At the bottom of the file there are those lines about the effect, but then I get strange stripes on every mountain if I simply copy past those lines. Anyone competent?

1. You can use my mod assets as long as you include credits in the description of the mod.
2. I encourage creating compatibility mods if you really want my mod to work with some other mod.

hello, i have made a combination using your mod as well as a clean map. i have made a few edits tho, yet i didn't upload it as i haven't asked permission by either original mod devs. do i have the go ahead from your side to upload it?

@Rakdar just use the lite version. Remove "colormap & colormap_water.dds" in in_heavens_graphical_overhaul_lite.zip/map/terrain folder. not worked? simply replace the HIP file with exception "colormap & colormap_water.dds" in HIP
