描述


The year is 1983.

The announcement of Ronald Reagan's Strategic Defense Initiative brings tensions between the East and the West to the highest they've been since the Cuban Missile Crisis. All it would take to unleash a world war is a stray bullet.

In Weltkrieg '83, that bullet is yours.

Weltkrieg '83 aims to offer a unique style of gameplay from the vanilla game. It's intended to be a bit more hardcore and fast-paced while still being fun and semi-realistic. Weapons in Weltkrieg '83 are intended to work similarly to their real-life counterparts, with factors like caliber and rate of fire being accounted for.



Weltkrieg '83 currently includes the forces of 4 nations each from both NATO and the Warsaw Pact, plus 1 (in real life) non-aligned country for either side:



  • United States of America
  • United Kingdom
  • West Germany
  • French Republic
  • Kingdom of Sweden



  • Soviet Union
  • Polish People's Republic
  • East Germany
  • Czechoslovak Socialist Republic
  • SFR Yugoslavia

  • The Soldier - W'83 is built on Weltkrieg, which is built on The Soldier's mod, Overlord!

Factions Update; Version 1.1

- Added Sweden and Yugoslavia!
- Fixed price for M16A2 (5 to 2)
- Made RPD lighter
- Added PKM
- Fixed mounted L7A2s running out of ammo
- Reverted silver coins to dollars
- Reagan is very happy because of this
- Also added some more drop items from the vanilla game
- All character files have been reduced to NATO and Pact specific files

Patch #2

- Fixed crashes resulting from game update 1.78, thanks to JackMayol!

Weltrkrieg 83 was a mod that gave water to the thirsty men, the men who thirsted for total war. The men who thirsted for a new experience with RwR. The men who thirsted for cool PPSh time. It served a lot of us well. I miss it often. In our hearts forever.
