PAAG - Perfect All Around Gearboxes

3 boxes intended to drive at 45 / 55 / 65 mph at optimal low rpm.
Optimized for engines with max torque @900/1000/1200 rpm.

For all vanilla trucks, Kenworth W990 by Harven, Freightliner FLB by Harven, Mack R, Overfloater K100e,

I don't like changing gearboxes all the time. So I tinkered these universal gearboxes with fantasy ratios.

PAAG 16-2/4: Forward 16+2 Gears, 4 Reverse, 3 step retarder
    Diff 3.1: For engines with max torque @ 900 rpm
    Diff 3.34: For engines with max torque @ 1000 rpm
    Diff 3.32: For engines with max torque @ 1200 rpm

They are intended to start with heavy loads uphill with low gears, and drive at 45/55/65 mph at optimal low rpm.


I do not plan to support non-vanilla trucks.

Every truck needs its transmission folder here:
\def\vehicle\truck\YOURTRUCK\transmission

You can add the transmission folder with the 3 def files in my mod or in the original truck mod.

Just copy one of MY truck folders and rename it like your truck mod folder.

Then you also need to change the truck name in the 3 transmission def files itselfes as it's named in the def files of your truck mod. Then the game should find it.

---> accessory_transmission_data : paag184r950.TRUCK.TYPE.transmission
(watch the periods!!)

The link to my mod in your library is at the top of the description above.

Have a backup ready of your new folder as it will get deleted after an update of a mod.

I will not add custom trucks myself. If you need help see the modding wiki or ask the community. It's no magic, just change the 3 transmission def files at one place each in the same way.

You probably already have a powerful engine -- otherwise it's hard to accelerate at higher speed because of the ratios. :)
