Springfield Virginia

描述
Springfield Virginia: This is the first map of a planned Washington DC area set of maps. The intended focal point is the Springfield Interchange, which was created by Budi Arisandi and is in the Workshop. All other aspects of the map were handmade by myself. It's a map full of moderate hills, ample rivers and small valleys, as well as a number of reservoirs. All major roads are also included as National Roads, which will need changing to zonable roads in the game. They are therefore guide roads for their accurate positions.
There are patches of Coal and Ore on most of the map edges, as well as fertile areas relatively evenly spread in the core areas of the map.
Best efforts have been made to avoid node glitches and other errors, but there will be some regardless. Please notify me or simply change them as you start playing the map.

I've used Cedar Valley as the Map Theme, but of course, themes can be changed using Theme Mixer.

That's good to know. Thanks a lot. I've thought about a lot of DC area maps. The Airport, The Tysons township, Rockville. I made a WIP DC central and I completed a Join Base Andrews Map. THere's a lot of interesting maps in the DC area. If maps ever got much bigger, I'd seriously think about an entire DC Metro project.

Very accurate, love it, most DC area maps are barely close this looks like a satellite duplicate. well done, I can actually point out the exact location of my childhood home.

Hi. I think the traffic works fine. The interchange was actually created by Arisandi. He's in the workshop with a large collection of interchanges. All the rest I did myself. Arisandi used to make many of my complicated interchanges, before I got used to making them myself.

Dude...I'm from the DC area and since I began playing this game I thought "Man it would be amazing if someone was able to pull of the Springfield Interchange". I am very impressed. How's the traffic on it?

Looks pretty cool - I lived 10 minutes away from Springfield VA - used too (born and rarised) then moved to Seattle - gonna try this one out.

Thanks a lot Hendrik. Bon Bon is reviewing Charlotte too. It's a more popular map, so maybe that would make it into the top 10?

Hi J - As timosan said: this map has been reviewed by BonBonB in What Map. You made another really great map .. good landscape, and oh my god ... so many complicated roads!
