Are you too lazy to lug around a big jukebox with you just so you can switch Machine on before slaughtering those tower turkeys in their pyramid? Maybe you just dropped onto a hazardous planet or into space in your mech and don't want to have to bail out so you can pick your favorite "gettin' stuff done" jam. Anyway. I just drilled a music player into your head. Enjoy your new neural noisemaker! Now you have SEVERAL songs stuck in your head! Sorry not sorry. >:)

(In case you didn't catch it, this mod simply patches the Quickbar Mini interface to include FU's music player as a built-in function.)
(That means you absotively have to have FU and you posilutely have to have Quickbar Mini.)

Q. Is it compatible with FU?
A. Yes! In fact, it is SO compatible with FU that it is NOT compatible with NOT FU!

Q. Did you whiz in my tea?

A. Most certainly. Always.

Q. Can I listen to the music even if I don't have headphones in my head shape and ear position?
A. Yes! I drilled the music player into your noggin, remember?

Q. Why?

Q. Can you make a version that doesn't rely on FU to use?
A. The music player is added by FU. I just add a button that accesses it. I get requests all the time to release standalone stuff from FU as if it's my stuff. Can't help you.


NOTE: I no longer have the desire to maintain FU support with my mods. Frackin' Universe is getting too overcomplicated in its mechanics. I am still using an older version, unsubbed, after it seemed like things were being mass-rewritten just for the sake of changing things. I really didn't know what I was getting into when I installed FU three years ago. I am unable to keep up with the constant rewrites and inability to leave well enough alone. If my remaining mods work with FU, swell. If they break, they break.

Heads up on stuff.
There is Ztarbound music player standalone mod.
Star-X suggest that if you have Ztarbound it will work on this, I think that will also work.

...But I would assume it is or probably is, as I don't see how it wouldn't be fine to use something like this from the quick-bar, even if the host/server doesn't have it (obviously they would have FU and GIC).

Just a head's up, if you use the Ztarbound mod you also get the jukebox functionality as that's where it originally came from, at least I'm 99% sure. It's why I'm subscribed to this mod.

Could you make a guide to make custom addons to the music player, or even a webpage/application that could make them for us? I want to make custom music addons, but don't know how. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Because the item and interface this works with are added by FU.

If FU is being dropped why not remove it from the required section?

It's possible to just extract the assets from FU itself to make it work if you have the time.

With the case of this mod, what did you mean by dropping support? Also, are all these mods open sourced?

Appears to work as intended as of now. (1.4.x Bounty Hunter update.)

FU has updated as of yesterday of this comment. Possible fixes on FU's end may have done.
