San Diego, CA, USA

This is San Diego, California - America's finest city!

The city is located in the very South of California, close to the Mexican border.

The terrain is based on a heightmap and therefore a really accurate replica of reality. I found out that a 15 x 15 km square in terrain party is the perfect size for the game's road scales. So here you are. I used an overlay mod to get perfect results.

Groups of trees mark the real life locations of San Diego's city parks.

All highway interchanges are made by hand - and it would be a lie to say I'm not proud of that. :)

All screenshots are taken with Owl's beautiful LA map theme which creates the nice dry grass California effect you can see. But it also allows the fertile green in the river valleys.

Im not sure if its a mod I have but my trains wont leave the map and despawn so since starting the game all the tracks are filled to the brim with trains. What could I do to fix it?

Thanks a lot! I usually am subscribed to several themes and use Theme Mixer Mod to create an individual one which suits my city project best.

It works now, because I unsubscribed from everything and resubscribed to everything only thing is the plants didn't go through and of course the map theme didn't go through. But I still like the map and thank your for responding. Also enjoy the wholesome award.

like Jensoo said, make sure you have all the appropriate DLC. I just restarted my SD build a few days ago (post-airport DLC updates), and the map still works as it should.

Hmm... I never had any problems with it. Do you also have Mass Transit DLC?

Excuse me Jensoo, I love the map but do you know why I can't use it? It doesn't allow to play whenever I load the map I downloaded everything on the required list.
