Have you ever been bothered that you instantly get Game Over if you lose your last holding?
Have you yearned to take revenge on the person that took your last holding when the game ends?
Have you had a desire to follow your dynasty through its ups and downs throughout the centuries?
Have you ever wanted a more character-driven roleplay-oriented gameplay?
Then perhaps this mod is for you.

Introducing
Landless Courts and Kings

Your war is going to hell. Your enemies besiege your last province. In a desperate attempt to avoid capture you and your court disguise yourself and flee the realm. Now you are landless and must decide how to best reclaim your former holdings (or perhaps take someone elses). Perhaps you could become a courtier at the court of a powerful King or Emperor. From there you might influence him into pressing your claims in a war or at least give you another title. Or you could set up band of thugs to scourge the countryside. Or recruit some zealots for a holy war.

Any way you choose you will need money. If you cant get a job at the court you might be forced to start a business or take a labor intensive job at the city. SInce you dont have any lands anymore you have to find a home, even a barn if necessary. Otherwise you are bound to get robbed or worse. Even if you never manage to recover, the story in itself will hopefully be hilarious. The former Duke died as a homeless drunkard in a barfight, suffering from several venereal diseases, having sired several illegitime children, one of them with the Dukes wife.

I hope the above text has showed the general idea of the mod. To keep things fun and interesting will require a lot of character events and decisions to make. So far the mod is in its alpha stage only containing the basic mechanic and therefore lacks most of these events. However I am working on creating more. I am also looking for modders who want to participate in this project.

This mini-mod should work with other mods such as HIP, CK2+ or AGOT.

Known issues:
Unable to marry when landless
Only works well for christian rulers (likely due to the christian CoA being generated)
You can play but if you choose to save the game you will be unable to load it unless you have managed to acquire a holding (at least a barony). However if you save it and then then press continue from the main menu you are able to continue playing the latest save even if you are landless. Be advised if you choose to load and play another game and save that one you will be unable to ever load the previous game ever again.

How to play:
When you are at war you get a new decision in your intrigue menu which is to abandon your realm.
Then you can right click on the CoA of Kingdom and Empires and there you should have a decision to move your court there.
You also have a find job decision in your intrigue menu.

Things to come:
Lots and lots of events which will correspond to the different paths your character can take in order to become landed again.

I am looking for modders who want to participate in this project. If you want to participate and know some basic modding please contact me. Currently we need a lot of character events that can keep the game interesting while you try to become landed again.
