Vanilla + script.
WASD + mouse control.

Tab 1:

Long decsription
I'd tried to make functional and reliable hexapod, that can be used even in survival mode.

So requirements are:
1) Make it as small as possible to reduce amount of required materials.
2) It shouldn't rely on uranium.
3) It should be easy to build.
4) It should be easy to use.
5) It should have oxigen generator.
6) It should not take damage in the normal course of business.

And what's the result?
1) It is small and need less materials than common flying miner.
2) Rotors require very small amount of energy. So it can do thing only with solar panels and battery. But walking on long distance is boring and I added some thursters that provide limited flying capability.
3) It should be. Althought rotors might need some care to be built in proper orientation.
Script is "plug'n'play". Paste it in programmable block and enter the cockpit to get it works.
4) It is. I've spent a lot of time to guide the script to follow WASD and mouse commands.
Script can control:
WASD movement (moving forward, backward, turning and strafe).
Mouse control for pitch and yaw (even without gyroscopes).
Vertical alignment with "space" and "c". Hexapod can stand up and sit down.
Jumping. Yes, it's useful for taking off.
5) It is. But oxygen generator is not connected with drill, so ice need to be put manually.
6) I've tested almost all blocks for collision resistance to find block for the "outsole".
I found that landing gears, blast doors and heavy armor can take damage on collision with some circumstances. Wheel block is useless.
Winners are:
a) Drill
b) Steering wheel
But drill have not enought friction. So don't be surprised with steering wheels on legs.
