The south part of the Argyle Line around the Lanark is having some major works being carried out on the line meaning that the power has been cut off on that part of the line. So Scot Rail has called in its fleet of 170s to carry on the service without the need of the over head lines.
Today take a 3 car class 170 from Lanark to Newton but also stopping at 5 other station along the way.
