The racialiser can change parameters of items to match racial versions of them and the pet house changes the spawned pet depending on what pet is set. To decide wether it can racialise to that configuration it checks if the object exists. Though with the pet house it only needs to check if an item from that mod exists to make it so that it doesn't show the ship pet if the mod it's from isn't installed.
