Four Realms

描述
This map brings you into a world of fantasy, similar to the stories you read, only here, you can take the reins of one of four Realms and build a citadel to last through the ages, holding against endless waves of Corruptrons, or perhaps working with your fellow rulers to end the Corruptron scourge forever, or, if you have a thirst for bricktron blood, you can use your stronghold as a base for the subjugation of all Four Realms, and none of your enemies will stand before your might!

Each of the Four Realms has distinct advantages and disadvantages, making play very different for each player; especially if a general understanding (and perhaps some ground rules) are present before the game begins.

Each realm contains a fair amount of iron, brimstone, trees, and plants, though they are not balanced. Some realms - such as the Dwarvish Realm - are provisioned for long building periods, and have enough resources to build a significant fortress and army, while some realms - such as the Raiders’ Realm - are short on resources, and are intended to push the players out to conquer territory merely for the ability to safely collect resources early on.

The Labrynthian realm is a maze of canyons, with platforms, chokepoints, and ambush sites scattered everywhere, allowing the player who occupies it to spend few resources and still construct significant, defensible fortifications, and use their troops and wards to great effect.

The Kingdom of the Southern Realm is the somewhat blandly named and blandly built island to the south. Its wide swathes of flat land allow ample space for castle building, and small rises allow minor advantages in terrain to be leveraged in the defense of the island, but compared to the other three realms, the South is the hardest to defend, a weakness which is balanced out by the ample resources available on this island, containing the most wood and plants, along with a significant amount of iron and brimstone, and plenty of space for quarries.

The Raiders’ Realm is the poorest of the realms, with only a pittance of iron, brimstone, wood, and plants to start the player off. The chain of islands make for an easily defended home, even if no fortifications are built at all; one need only break the bridges, and access is denied to intruders. Towers built on the islands to raise the height of the bridges and further guard the access to the realm would make any attack a costly venture. Merely breaking bridges in defense would cost the Raiders precious resources, where the towers could be defended and allow the raiders to venture out and take resources from the contested lands and the realms beyond.

The Dwarves’ realm is possibly the second most defensible Realm, with its crystal and half its shards buried in the mountain, and plenty of space for defensive structures to be built on the slopes of the mountain to rain death on intruders. The resources to be found on the surface give the dwarves a good start, but their access to the bridges out of their realm requires extensive tunneling - an advantage and a disadvantage, giving them time to build, if they want, but also leaving them open to enemies stealing their bridges and holding them against them. The Dwarvish leader must be careful to decide how to play in order to keep from being caught unawares.

Each realm is built for a different play style and strategy, and brings with it a variety of building opportunities, allowing for marvelous fantasy architecture. Enjoy the Four Realms fantasy map!

Please leave a thumbs up if you enjoyed! It helps motivate me to keep the map up to date, and possibly even create more content for you guys!

@Meli I don’t like surface resources as a game mechanic, and so the original form of the map relied exclusively on what you could delve from the ground. Which the small islands of raiders realm makes quite difficult. However I was since coerced into adding surface resources, and decided that as a balancing factor, the Raiders realm would require a significant amount of iron, at least. For best results, I do recommend the map (and the game) without surface resources. I think it makes the game less rush-oriented and gives you time to actually build a castle.

I've fallen out of castle story for awhile, though even while I was into it, my focus was on balanced maps for multiple players, but if I get back into it I could definitely give it a try. @applesauce.
