I don't understand how the Lost could appear right in front of XCOM without the soldiers realizing sooner that a bunch of zombies were right in front of them!

This mod makes the Lost spawn 30, instead of 18 tiles, away from the player.

If you want faster Lost, see my Improved Zombies mod.

If you want buffier Lost, see my Buffer Lost mod.

I like this mod in principle, the zombies spawning practically before my eyes bothered me, however in practice maybe it makes the Lost too worthless. They seem to spawn out of sight, and stay out of sight. Only the Dashers catch up. I was retreating from one of those Horde missions at blue speed (blue move-overwatch) hoping for a fighting withdrawal and the Lost never caught up. I got bored of waiting for them and just walked to the evac. I guess the "spawning in your nose" feature is silly, but it does give you that "overwhelmed by zombies" feel.

I'm down for making the enemies harder and unfair even, so they can squad wipe me, dawn, i have dystopian turn order, bio troops, snipers, warlocks, buffed up ai, Chosen enchanced by AI and abilities, buffed up lost and i play on with grim horizon and beta strike, which makes the enemies get shield and armor, and i play without showing the enemy health.
But i'm also down for logic, i mean, c'mon, i would be able to see those rumbling bodies coming from a mile away, and that's coming from the guy who has an overpowered ADVENT TANK as an enemy.

Wait, so let me get this straight, there was 8 to 10 zombies right beside my soldier, and apparently, my super-ultra-buffed specialist who is scanner-happy, who also dies in two-hits, didn't noticed, perceived or identified this obvious treat?!
Also, avenger kind has scanners that would let me figured that out... are they on vacation or something in the ADVENT burguers? i knew those wraps were "evil"... and delicious apparently, made of a specialist who is about to become a snack...
There are also the purifiers, who are ready to make my squad a grispy burguer... oh goody, nevermind he just exploded in my ranger... oh wait, i just realized, "HE EXPLODED!"... OH no!
Oh yeah, spawn right on top of my ranger who is also on one health, and apparently, blind, because he didn't noticed a swarm literally 7 feet in front of him... because logic doesn't exist, neither does vision, is all because yeah.

IIRC, previously this mod just set:
LostSpawningDistance=30

Now it more properly removes the vanilla value before adjusting it:
-LostSpawningDistance=18
+LostSpawningDistance=30
