Taffys on Maerdy Branch Part 1

描述
You are to take a 56xx and a load of empty 16ton wagons up to the colliery at Maerdy.

It is a challenging climb at bits of the journey so be prepared for a tough trip.

BR Green Diesels are starting to make an apperance now on the line, which is a sure sign of the coming modernisation plan. Although quite a lot of pre-nationalisation wagons are still dotted about.

For the begining of the journey await the arrival of the Express passenger train. The signal may not show as visably clear but check with the 9 map option to see if it has. Duration : 25 mins Difficulty : Medium

AuscGWR Glad that you enjoyed it :D I've got to redo the scenarios using the newer versions of the route/ Got one with the Battery Loco coming to.

Chris89 this tough but the Taffy sloged it out and made the top with full head of steam and water on the top nut. Loved the challenged.

Not sure how you will find them now. Think under community option from the main menu or from scenarios.

I have not tried it since the 56xx had simple mode added, as when i did the scenario it only had expert mode for it. Be free to try it and see if it will work though.

'J94 Memories of Maerdy' package was the main reason I bought TrainSim2014 this Xmas, so finding your two scenarios was going to be the icing on the (Welsh) cake, as I also got the 56XX loco as well.

Two issues though. Firstly, although I have 'Subscribed' to 'Download' your two parts, nowhere can I find out how you then go on to download them. What am I doing wrong (or not doing)?

Secondly, I am currently only up to using the 'Simple' setting for loco control in TrainSim 2014 and have been unable to complete some of the existing (uphill) challenges provided in the 'J94 Memories of Maerdy' package. Given the description of your two scenarios (especially the uphill Part 1), is there any point in me downloading them anyway (assuming I can) if I only use the 'Simple' engine control option? In other words, are such scenarios only capable of being completed in full (expert) control?

It is unfortunat. Hopefully it will appear back at some point, as it seems not to require the orginal Kuju - Railsimulator folder system for the couplings.

Unfortunatly,the 56xx class loco add on is no longer available to purchase.

Excellent scenario! Just what the 56xx needed... Was I pleased to get up that hill!
Of course, I had an unfair advantage. I read the manual... :-)
