The story is okay--there are many lows but that doesn't mean there aren't any highs (specifically the plot twists are pretty good). The dialogue is not great though, it's full of cartoon tropes and Redditor humor. What makes this game stand out is that the gameplay is easily the best out of any Borderlands game before it. Sliding, firing-modes, and "gun feel" are a few examples of what makes the fights feel so fun in this game.

P.S. The negative reviews saying that the game is now spyware or whatever are straight up not true. This rumor started from a single YouTube video that is soaked in misinformation.

This quickly became one of my favorite games of all time and if you don't mind reading then it'll become one of your favorites as well.

There's so much new content WOW.

This DLC adds a much needed extra campaign to the game. This comes with several layers of replayability such as having a new world to play Adventure mode in. The difficulty is higher in this DLC which makes it feel like a proper continuation of the ending of the base game. Some bad things: Boring character design, dialogue, and cutscenes, including enemies. 7/10

This DLC adds an extra layer of replayability to the entire game, and also breaths some life into the seemingly neglected zone Corsus. Survival mode is similar to a game like Risk of Rain 2 and that’s all there is to say about it. 7/10

Replayability is the main strength of this game. Dynamic map generation is innovative to the genre. Well balanced endgame that encourages build crafting. Builds are diverse and satisfying. Exploration feels as rewarding as a souls game. 8/10

Destiny 2 is my favorite game ever but sometimes I can't recommend it.
