Graphically promising, but in every other aspect not so good adventure game. You venture in destructed world and access on different peoples memories through the objects they've been attached to in a past and this is the first thing where Empathy: Path of Whispers is falling apart. While the characters telling the past events are somewhat interesting everything is just so scattered and blurry to make much sense about it - luckily the information stack in library, but I never found it too interesting. Secondly the gameplay is very slow paced and getting stuck is barely avoidable. Nevertheless, I still stick with the game until the mysterious bug prevented me proceeding anymore. I checked the discussions, watched walkthroughs and found nothing I had gone wrong with and I see no point for backtracking because the game is not that addicting. Maybe after a break who knows, but for now I just can't recommend.

Well, it does have descent dystopian atmosphere and some puzzles are okay, but most of the time you just enter a big pixel hunting limbo which is frustrating. I don't mind if game is challenging, but if the game puts you in situation where you need to search some tiny point of interest withing vast 360 angle pictures and sometimes even with the right item at hand then there is something heavily wrong at least for me.

I never bought this game, so it might have been a free giveaway from a friend or steam and I was amazed to see it on my library. Screenshots looked good and I decided to ignore the mixed reviews. I don't have regrets I played it, but the game is truly very old and the quality is outdated which can be strictly seen from poor or actually non-existent widescreen support and clunky controls.

If I was you I would not spend more than a quarter or two for this game so buy it only from sales or avoid it forever.

Short and in gameplaywise very simple walking sim with few great visuals and easy achievements. Game is very cheap and you are going to get exactly a that amount of decent gameplay - not more, not less. If you are ready for it I truly recommend.

If you are a fan of 35 mm you should like this too but if you hated it stay away and stay that way.

For the rest of you I can tell that The Light is some kind of mini project between larger ones and it even seems to be a remake for a game I know nothing about. The environment is quite small consisting only, but few buildings and although the game takes few hours to beat the playtime is about mainly searching different things to get forward like keys and fuses. So I can admit that I got frustrated a couple of times, because empty abandoned university isn't that most alluring milieu to keep interests up too long. However the latter part of The Light is more tense and frightening and the searching is replaced with something more exciting.

While The Light doesn't offer anything remarkable and is short it still is a good game for spending a moment of two.

When it comes to The Last Tinker: City of Colors it is somewhat hard to tell that is it just boring or have I just grown too far out from the target audience. The game's story is simple and you play as a young, sporty, self-confident monkey who must save the world from evil terror. There is not much else in the story, but I found most of the prime characters funny and personal. Shame though that there is not any voice overs to lift cinematic experience to a next level.

Graphically the game is beautiful and there is a lot of interesting designs on levels and if I had not done some research I'd say that this was based on some real kids' cartoon. The world is filled with colors and they are inhabited with animals with many colors and it was nice to see the game speaks out for equality. Red-colored folk for example are racist until they realize that uniting and fighting for common good is better option. Music deserves praising as well.

While the graphics and concept are in shape it still does not mean that it should be enjoyable and unfortunately that is the case with Last Tinker, which has fighting, puzzles and platforming, but all this is so simplified that I couldn't avoid feeling that I was being stalled bit too much. For example fighting is fun maybe once or twice but then it begins to feel just like a heavy marble chained into a leg. There is a bit variation on harder or boss battles, but not enough. Same goes with platforming and even as I call it with that I am not sure is it actually platforming or automatic proceeding because all climbing running and jumping happens automatically if you keep pressing specific buttons. So it is definitely not same kind of experience that you could have with Crash Bandicoot or Spyro -games.

In conclusion whether The Last Tinker: City of Colors allures with the graphical outlook the cons in gameplay outshine the pros. But if you are a kid or are buying this for a kid between 7-12 I believe that you might have a decent game here. Peace.

Well, it is that famous DN3D all wrapped up (again?) and compatible with highest definitions. Although the gameplay is golden and nostalgia strikes hard I am amazed that they withdrew expansions Nuclear Winter and Duke Caribbean: Life's A Beach especially when they were already released in previous remastered edition which is not available anymore on steam. Maybe we get 25th Anniversary soon and I truly hope that all is packed in there.

Ode for my childhood hero.

Good and challenging souls-like game with multiple endings and secrets. I can't blame the hard battle system which is very rewarding when everything comes together and you are able to slay numerous opponents in enjoyable fights. I wouldn't have minded though deeper storytelling, which could have provided something more than colorless character which is pulled in the situation just by signing some contact with some suspicious points and rules. There is about 10 different enemy types which are roughly pulled from tales of Lovecroft or another newer popular culture. Sometimes you will meet even some random encounters which more dangerous enemies, but everything becomes less challenging when you begin to learn controls and collected vitae from enemies can be used to upgrade your stats.

Skautfold: Shrouded in Sanity is a nice piece of software providing entertainment for hours and not letting the player push through too easily.

Not really that bad game if you have right people beside you ready to be persistent, open minded and think out of the box. The gameplay is quite hard and time to time Magica feels more like a strategy puzzle game than a hack&slash title. Actually there is not much slashing at all for all fighting is about dealing magic and that is quite essential to master if you want to get far in this game. But every won hard battle feels great and moments of joy are many.

While I don't have any personal experience about other Sherlock Holmes games I'd say that this must be one of the better ones. There is 6 different cases and it really took me about 20 hours to beat them all and I do know that I missed the right conclusion in one of them. That is the best thing in this game when it does not end your game if you make wrong concluding decision - it gives a tone of unpredictability. However much about everything else in the game is quite hand held and the system gives a lot of clues and over lines wrong possibilities when solving details in cases.

SH: Crimes and Punishments is a very quirky game in this manner when it can feel complex and very simple at the same time. Notes, conversations, clues and observations are all easy to get accessed to at anytime and there is relatively lot of information, but I never needed to waste time in them too much and usually things get cleared out easily and the answers are usually obvious. Same goes with the detective work and that classic point'n'click gameplay where you don't need seek every pixel carefully, but instead game points out when you have found everything in current scenery. Also the different vision filters are highlighted when you need them, which prevents players not to get too frustrated, but on the other hand not too challenged either.

The game's success lies in the extremely interesting, versatile, atmospheric, well voice-acted and twisted cases, which lets a player to be a winner without needing to pull a hair out all the time. Its simplicity is masqueraded in its complexity and I did feel like Sherlock Holmes instead of being Dr. Watson. Crimes and Punishments is a remarkable adventure game which I can recommend merrily for everyone.

Monty Python met Monkey Island. Being successful both in an idea and execution I can tell that this philosophical black comedy game really took a spot in point'n'click hall of fame. All this game could have used was a longer lifetime, because it is over in few moments., but nevertheless it might be the closest we ever get to an art in video games. Buy it! It is worth it!
