I am genuinely embarrassed that I was looking forward to this game.

Everything nook and cranny of this game is a laughable. Little bit of a nostalgia trip, but it is riddled with 343's garbage game design.

I love reading the comments about all the new game mechanics being "too overwhelming", and I do agree for the first couple of hours which most of these people did not even play past.

The new game mechanics, once mastered make the gameplay extremely satisfying. This new DOOM blows 2016 out of the water. It's content, level design, and gunplay is just more of what made 2016's DOOM good plus way more. It is no longer just mindlessly jumping around using the super shotgun for literally everything. Large demons have weakspots that have weaknesses that you can exploit which requires constantly changing weapons which I think is a good thing. STRATEGY being a key is what makes a game interesting and satisfying.

Personally I really enjoy the new direction they are going with DOOM and the lore is very interesting. I have not been so interested in lore since Halo.

The only thing I regret with this purchase is not getting the Collector's Edition... Great work ID.
