I enjoy this game. I purchased it a long time ago and finally got around to playing it.

Great stalker game

Fun and challenging. I got it while on sale having not heard of it. I would pay full price for this; worth every penny.

I first reviewed this game after 24.5 hrs play time and am now reviewing at 169.5 hrs play time. I'm not sure if I've reviewed a game twice but I like this game so here it goes.

Its writing and story are amazing and the gameplay is pretty fun for what it is (ship and fleet management). It comes optionally with a Hi DPI graphics pack as well as scaling in the settings for high resolution monitors. This enables me to make the text large so that I can see it (which helps as I get older I'm liking larger text for reading).

This is a rare game where the writing is done so well I actually take the time to read all of the text, story line, side stories, planet descriptions, and even on every planet there's a cute little testimonial from inabitants on the planet where they talk about their daily life, opinion, or economy. Because I enjoy reading it; it's a huge difference that I have the HiDPI scaling available.

This game doesn't require Internet. Another thing I love about this game: it is very light weight on computer resource requirements. Game install is around 300MB with HiDPI last I checked. I love that game settings and state are saved in text files. So I can commit the save game to a Git repository and share my save games amongst all my computers as well as protecting my save games from corruption when I try out plugins. Because it is lightweight I can easily play it on my laptop while traveling so I don't feel like I'm missing out or bored when I don't have my full gaming desktop. This game easily keeps me occupied should I ever want it while traveling.

I'm glad this game is free software; I think there should be an option to purchase this game on steam. I would buy it just to support the original author. Thanks for this amazing game.

Fun game if you like driving virtual trucks as a hobby. It can be as technical or simple as you want it depending on how you configure the settings. I do not drive trucks professionally.

Great game but pretty difficult.

I picked this game up a few years ago and had a hard time. Mostly because I went about it wrong.

Fast forward a few years I watched some youtube videos which had great content for beginners. I recommend doing this.

I then joined a solo only server with a very low population in community servers (no more than 5 players online). The point of this wasn't to PVP. It was to learn the mechanics of the game.

Playing solo really does give you a good feel for how to get started fast. Don't waste your time holding on to things you don't have blueprints for. Grind it up. Use the scrap. Use the resources in your base.

Priorities:
- 1st build a base (be sure that it has air locks).
- your base needs at a minimum stone walls and metal doors.

The stone walls means beginner tier users can't raid it with their equipment. The metal doors means one needs more than a flame thrower to raid your base. After that just go through the game and learn blueprints. Now that I've got a handle the game is really fun.
