This is my first Monster Hunter title and I can say that I feel like i've been missing out on a lot. The game is truly amazing and runs like a dream on my PC. I must collect all armours and weapons!

Got this for my wife and I as a game to kill time while we wait for something bigger. Absolutely loving it and wish I had bought it sooner. Will most likely get the DLC as well!

I don't understand the downvotes. The game is so fun and honestly runs surprisingly well for an early access game. I have a constant 165+fps at 1440p on a full AMD system, which is more than I can say for some of the fully released titles I've played recently. Even in it's current state, it is way ahead of it's biggest competitor (I'm sure we all know what game I'm talking about)

The game is beautiful, and lots of fun. I can play with my wife and friends without any issues. The only time i've ever seen a queue is when trying to join a friend that's already in a game. If we party up in the menu and then deploy, there are no queues. (EU West)

I played it on the day it was released, and stopped playing about 20minutes in because it was incredibly buggy. Very choppy visuals, and I got kicked twice and lost my gear both times. I gave up and thought I will give them some time to fix it, but then I gave it another try the following day and it worked perfectly. Sadly I haven't had more time to play but I will definitely be playing this weekend. The devs are fixing issues so fast, I have no doubt this will be the next big looter shooter.

Update: Seems like the crashes are finally fixed, and I haven't had a queue in a few days. Time to spread some democracy!

I played the first game quite a bit so was quite keen to play this when I saw it was coming, but then I saw the camera angle was changing and thought I'd rather watch a review after launch and decide then if I still want it.

It looked amazing and the reviews were great as well, so I thought I'd buy it for my wife and I to play together. Today was the first time we played it and have to say, it's been so disappointing.

Right out the door, I had to attempt the tutorial 3 times because the portion that teaches you about crouching kept spawning too low, so it looked like you needed to prone to get past it, but were unable to. It worked for my wife, which is the only reason I knew it was spawning too low. After Alt+F4'ing a couple of times, it finally spawned at the right height for me and I was able to go ahead with the tutorial.

Half way through it, the game crashes. My wife's was fine so I thought it must be my PC. I checked and there were driver updates available so I went ahead and did them. Got back in the game and guess what, the crouching section of the tutorial had spawned too low again. Alt+F4 and try again and it works, I manage to get through the whole tutorial.

Get into the game and try invite my wife to my session. "No friends online" yet hers says that I am a friend and online... Decide to join her game instead, no big deal. A bit of a bumpy start but now we're in the game and playing, all of the above has taken just over an hour and we have not played anything other than the tutorial yet.

We get into our first mission, and get about half way through before her game crashes. Okay, so not just my PC. I tell her to check for drivers, surprise, she has the same updates available as I did. She does them and gets back in the game. We finish the mission and start the next one. Another crash from my game.

We try multiple times and keep taking turns with the game crashing, do some research and see that many people are having the same issue. One guy says "Try running as admin from the game files and in windows 8 compatibility mode" so I try it. Drastically increases the stability of the game, we manage to play 2 full games without an interruption.

Third game however, I get kicked because of network problems... I reconnect and try again. Seems we were just lucky earlier because we continued having multiple crashes each again after that without being able to complete a single mission. We keep just reconnecting to each other to continue the mission.

We decide to take a break and try again later.

3 hours later, we try again but now "Servers are at capacity, try again later" - We tried many times and were unable to get in. It's actually quite disgusting and has made me not want to play the game at all. Takes all the excitement out of it. I am the first of my friends to try this game, and I will be the last. I will wait a week or so and try again, and then change my review if the problems are resolved. If not, I will try get a refund. Hoping it will be fine since the product simply doesn't work.

Firstly, I would just like to say that I am playing this with my wife and she is hosting, We have experienced no rubber banding so not really sure why I have seen so many people complaining about this. The only issue I have seen is some slight frame drops when there is a lot of movement (like hectic combat) in a densely populated area, and even this is for about a second, almost unnoticeable.

I decided early in the game that I will be a mage since I wanted to focus on ranged, and my wife wanted to focus on the bow. We found a healing spell, which was great since my wife kept dying, so I told her to stand still so I could test it on her. It was really cool, these little green orbs exploded out of my staff and homed in on her! We decided to keep playing and after a short bit of combat I needed to heal her. It was at this moment that I realised the spells are consumables, and I now had no more spells left? Spells are used like ammo. I cannot stress enough how much I hate this system.

But the game gets a thumbs up from me anyway, because even though this is a really stupid spell system, the rest of the game has been really fun so far and we will definitely keep playing it. If you enjoy building, it's a no brainer because the building in this game is so much fun!

Combat is a bit challenging at times, depending mostly on number of enemies though to be honest. I'm only 4 hours in so maybe this will change later in the game, but so far I've found that enemies are quite sparse so when you're hunting for resources that drop off specific enemies, it can be a bit frustrating but by no means game breaking.

Definitely worth the 30 euro, recommend you play with a friend.

The game is absolutely amazing and worth every penny. I'm about 25 hours in and I've been doing mostly just collectibles because they're honestly so much fun to do. I do not have 100% completion on any of my steam games, but I will be going for 100% completion on this one.

I am in my 30's now and I think the last time a game came out that I was willing to sacrifice sleep for, was when I was still in high school.

There are definitely some performance issues in terms of frame drops, but not game breaking at all. Sorts itself out pretty quickly and has not happened in combat once yet. Almost always in a cutscene.

RAM: 16Gb Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3200 MHz

I have the game installed on a standard 2TB HDD (This is no mistake, it is NOT installed on an SSD) and I have no speed issues. I play the game on high and loading screens are always less than 10 seconds. In fact I would say 80% of the time they are less than 5 seconds.

The handful of races I played were really fun, but I'm having to do only solo content all the time as I can never find any games, on any of the modes. Was only able to find one game against other players.

Game worked better on day 1 than it works now

- Constant bugs
- Updates fix 1 bug and introduce 3 new bugs
- Servers advance in time by multiple days at a time which downgrades all settlements
- End game made less rewarding but more challenging, now near impossible to play on your own if you're max level
- Customer support is disgusting, banning people that report issues or responding with info that is not relevant to the content of the tickets that are logged

Great foundation that has just been demolished over time, zero confidence in AGS' ability to resolve these issues anymore.

Such an amazing game, so relaxing and great for creatives in terms of creating crazy structures etc. Many quality of life mods available as well for those that want to improve things a little bit. Highly recommend, can easily see myself sinking thousands of hours into this. Better with friends, but still good on your own. Game is super cheap too, so if you're unsure I recommend just taking the chance since it won't set you back much if you don't like it, though that's doubtful.
