This game scratches that old school mmo itch. I love discovering the quests, the secrets. How much a simple gear upgrade feels when it drops. It's got that magic I felt on playing WoW back in the day.

The Simplayers are a fun addition. It needs some work, but it appears as though the dev is dedicated to improving the game. If you are thinking about picking this game up, do it! You won't regret it.

Wow, Solaris is probably the best 4X space game I have ever had the chance to play. First, it is incredibly easy to pick up and get into. You build 3 things on your stars, Economy, Industry, Science. Economy = more money, Industry = more ships, science = faster research. You manage two resources, Credits and Specialist Tokens. Credits let you buy stuff, Specialist Tokens let you buy Specialist which are like upgrades. Along the lines of add more defense here, give a damage increase there. That kind of stuff.

The complexity comes from the diplomacy that you need to utilize in order to win games. If people find out you are a lone wolf, you will most likely quickly become easy prey. If you've ever played 4X games in the past and tire of the simple diplomacy options given to you that is quite simply summed up to giving stuff and clicking the right buttons to make an AI like you, I can promise you Solaris will change your world.

Humans are unpredictable, emotional, ambitious. You never know what their motives are, if they will truly help you or not. For me, that is where the fun of this game lies. Be ready to lose, be ready to be tricked, and be ready to build a reputation of your own.

The community is another reason that makes this game so great. You literally have players that have gained a reputation for being loyal, for being a fierce competitor, or just being the best. Names will become familiar to you. The the swell of fear as you noticed someone new to your southern front. You clicked their profile and see their highly decorated page. You know this user is not someone to mess with. That to me is what makes this game truly the best.

I truly suggest you give this game a go if you are a lover of space 4X games. I promise if you are willing to stick with it, you will truly be in for a treat. Besides its free, you lose nothing for giving it a go. Anyways, hopefully I will see you in game.

I was really excited to play this game. Unfortunately, there is no way to disable screen shake on character movement. Developers if you are reading this, PLEASE add an option to disable this. Players like myself suffer from motion sickness and having a screen shake in your games makes it impossible for us to play it. Having a way to disable it is an accessibility option that should be included by default in every game.

Remove stationary camera sway and this game would be much better. At this point I can not play the game due to motion sickness.

Update: If your experiencing the camera moving while standing still, try making sure you don't have a controller plugged in!

Everything I ever wanted in a space exploration game!!

I love this game! I don't ever have time to go "real" hunting so this is as close as I will ever get. The game fills a niche, which is why they sell items in the store. They are always adding to the game. This game is free if you want it to be. When I first started playing all you could really hunt for free were Mule Deer. Now there are five free animals, 2 being on rotation. It's 9.99 for a 3 month sub. Some people pay 15 for a WOW sub and don't complain. You can spend what you want. I will occasionaly drop a few dollars on each pay check to pick up a new item or so. 10 dollars maybe. It's a great game. If you like hunting, this is for you.

Great game. Very relaxing and rewarding gameplay. It may look old, feel a little clunky at times, but underneath the skin is a wonderful game that I have had a great pleasure playing. Just take a look at a few youtube videos before buying to get a feel for the game. If you don't mind slower game play and love the idea of building your own homestead, give this game a go!

I don't normally leave reviews. But I can not recommend this game for it's current price point. This game was originally a kickstarter which I was one of the backers. The game was terrible, graphics were terrible, the engine was terrible. At first most players couldn't even open the game. The developers attempted to patch it and while it did address some of the concerns, it really did nothing to improve the game. Now the older version of the game is removed from Steam which had a ton of negative reviews. Yes everyone who bought the game before received this game for free. However, my main concerns for this Legends of Dawn: Reborn are still present. I didn't even need to play any more than five minutes before it hit me in the face.

1. Pathfinding is terrible. You click for your character to move and often will be stopped by objects that should have a clear path around it.

2. No tutorial! Come on guys I know this game is suppose to have an "old school style" but let's face it we need some basic controls to be explained so that we do not rage quit in the first minute of the game.

3. The character generation is just plain ugly. Now I don't need good graphics to enjoy a game. However, if that is going to be the case please balance it with amazing gameplay.

4. While not a factor for me, but this games price point is just way to high. Not worth it.
