CONCEPTUALIZATION: It's an RPG game. You like RPGs. Remember Mass Effect? You could go for some more of that. Get lost in another world. Get lost in another life.

ELECTROCHEMISTRY: Exactly. Get completely lost, stay up all night, forget to eat and sleep. You don't need that stuff, get your dopamine, this one is *loaded* with it.

LOGIC: Wait, this game does seem a little different. A top down view-

VISUAL CALCULUS: A basic 3-D model struts about the stylistic hand-crafted environments. The animations look basic and the models slightly dated, but the environments are certainly tastefully made. It's no Red Dead Redemption 2, but it's easy to see past that with all th-

RHETORIC[Medium: Success]: READING! You want to read? This game is a glorified choose-your-own-adventure, with albeit very engaging writing. You don't like reading, after all that's why you *play* games. You like to be engaged and interact, not be a mere spectator.

INLAND EMPIRE: You can't explain it but... something *is* really different about this particular game. You can't quite put your finger on what seems to grab you, but you are, undoubtedly, intrigued.

ENCYCLOPEDIA: This game is essentially an interactive graphic novel. It contains immense sections of lengthy fully voice acted dialogue and a plethora of branching choices ranging from plot altering to entirely inconsequential. This game is also particularly known for its politically driven subject matter, remarkably so, as it features a left wing ideology without making a complete mockery of it.

LOGIC: Communism. There's communism in the game.

HALF LIGHT: You don't know anything about communism. It's just a word you say to poor people when they get angry. This game is going to make you feel stupid with its left wing word salad. Head back to the store front page, pre-order the new call of duty. That game isn't political.

smol edit: since this review got so much attention I wanted to chime with many other reviewers and mention that the original devs are not being paid for this absolutely magnificent game if you buy it off steam.
