This game is basically like the picture of the guy digging and he stops before he reaches diamonds. It's one of the best games i've ever played, but it takes so much work to get it to not crash every 5 seconds.

You can get really creative with your playstyle, yes, even though you're restricted to 3 classes (and 4 subclasses for each), especially if you pick a mage, you can do a lot of spell combinations and stuff that I think are really neat.

I love the characters and their interactions with eachother, and they feel like actual people that don't just exist for the sake of the player; they each have hard limits that will cause them to hate you, leave you or attack you. The story is also great, feels like a real epic adventure, though each major area is tedious in its own way. It's difficult to describe but I feel like most fans agree, they hate playing each section but somehow love the whole game, it's really weird lol.

The biggest turnoff and downside to buying this game is the work it takes to make it playable. You HAVE to mod your game and download patches, it'll crash a bunch without it. However this wasn't a big deal to me since I usually mod my games anyway. Just be aware that you can't just boot up the game and have it work by itself.

I really recommend y'all try this game out! It's dear to my heart and i've been playing it since I was, like, 12, and I loved it then too. It's also, in my opinion, the best Dragon Age game in the series (no hate to the others). Happy gaming :)

This game creates such a top notch atmosphere that i'm willing to overlook some of its glaring problems. The representations of certain groups, particularly Chinese people, is pretty outrageous even for 2004, so get ready for a lot of 'casual' racism.

Aside from that, the gameplay itself is pretty restrictive considering it's meant to be an RPG. Yes you can choose to an extent your playstyle (melee, ranged, stealth, pacifist, etc) but most of the missions end up being the same thing each time. You have to get some kind of item for someone in a giant area filled with enemies you kill/sneak by/persuade/whatever, then you give the item to someone and the plot progresses. It definitely gets tedious after a while, so keep that in mind. There's also no character customisation, at all. You can change which stats you put points into, but you can't physically change your appearance besides 4 different armour types.

Now onto what the game has going for it, which is why it's so beloved by many (including me). The atmosphere, the soundtrack, the characters and story are all so charming and immersive. It really gives off a modern gothic horror vibe, with this existential dread hanging over the player character as they come to terms with their new life, and all these rules they now have to follow. It's what keeps me coming back to this janky masterpiece from over 20 years ago.

I personally can't stop raving about this damn game, even despite all its flaws. I guess I mention the flaws straight up, since I want this to be an honest review for a potential consumer - this game has some fairly big issues but it's up to you if you want to push through those just for the experience. Personally, I recommend you do. I love this game, and to this day it's one of my favourite RPGs out there.

Side note, as many other reviewers have pointed out, this game is super broken as is. You have to download some fixes and patch your game for it to be playable, and even then you risk corrupted save files, random crashes, etc. Comes with the territory I suppose, but again, I think it's worth the annoyance.

Overall, I enjoyed this game, though it's not the most fun to play by modern standards.

It's based on the short story of the same name by Harlan Ellison, where a computer traps the last 5 people alive and torments them for all eternity. You play as these 5 in different scenarios to confront their fears, regrets, etc. It's not a bad game, though there's a lot of jank.

A lot of the puzzle solutions are just a matter of clicking on things in a specific order, almost at random, with little to no hints about what to do next. Sometimes the items you need are indistinguishable from the background, making them hard to spot. Expect to need a guide to finish this game, but besides that I had a good time, since I'm a fan of the original story.

I'd recommend waiting for a sale if you really want to get your money's worth, since the price is a bit much for how short the game is. They also recently updated it... for some reason? So it's a bit better than before, and now has achievements. Have fun if you decide to pick up this classic!

If you like the charm of old FMV games, absurdist humour and games with political commentary, I recommend playing Not for Broadcast. There's hours of recorded content, it's genuinely impressive how much is packed into this game for its price, and the actors' performances are great!

I will say, if you're expecting super insightful political commentary (at least from a left-wing perspective anyway) this game doesn't really have that. The focus is more on the effects of propoganda and how the media shapes the masses, rather than delving into any one political faction, and tends to favour centrism as the best outcome. This isn't a dealbreaker or anything, I did find their approach to politics something different compared to what you might see in the real world, which made it more interesting in my opinion.

Really it's just a fun game. I recommend playing it several times, trying different outcomes, seeing all the endings. Play the DLCs too! It's just a great time all around.

Not too bad of a game, I'm enjoying it so far. Might need a couple more hours of playtime though, i'm not 100% sure I like it yet.

Richard... from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Before playing this I was a sexless loser - a freak. Sexual harrassment claims and restraining orders left and right. But, while playing this game on the prison computer I had a revelation. The reason women didn't like me wasn't because of my traditionalist views of heterosexual relationships or because i sexually harrass my female coworkers. I simply didn't have the insider knowledge to know what to say. Thank you Super Seducer for teaching me how to talk to women. Mad respect.
