Hey there!
Here's my gaming background, so to speak in case you might know me!

--OFFLINE:

Aside from my NES, SEGA GENESIS/CD gaming entry, I played offline games like Doom and Quake 1 & 2 on the PC, although that was at friends since I didn't had internet nor a PC back in 1995 era.

--ONLINE:

In 1999, once I went into college, I purchased my first PC and the fun began with Mplayer! I played the good old classics like Half Life 1, Quake 3 Arena, Unreal Tournament, System Shock 2, StarCraft, etc.
My first online game was Aliens versus Predator Classic and eventually, joined my first clan, F8L (Fatal). I was recruited by F8L-Y2K and played for a while until the clan started to be inactive.

I later joined UnSeen Death (USD) clan when I was approached by USD-NOOKIE420, USD-Ltjr25 and USD-Trinity, who invited me. We played AvP Classic, AvP Gold, Rogue Spear and Quake III Arena. Ah, my golden days of gaming with countless nighters!

Alas, the fun ran short until members slowly became inactive and back to square one. I was then approached by u-FooFighter-u and u-CETANU-u for the Untouchable clan and eventually joined them. Sadly, life took the best of the clan and died shortly after a little while.

--2001

Mplayer was purchased by GameSpy and shutdown. Things never were the same by then, friends left online gaming so my online gaming days were mostly over.

--2001 to 2004

I've tolerated GameSpy Arcade for a while until my friends stopped being active there. This was not in vain as I was very busy with life (Canadian Army Reserve and college at same time). So I had to focus on fewer titles than usual!

--GUILD WARS

I played for a few years and was active daily. I was known there as Targa Rains; played as a Necromancer. I managed to be on a few guilds until I made my own (RAGE: Rage Against Nerfing). I lost interest around 2009 since Arena Net used to "nerf" the game's skills on each updates which made the PvE portion very pointless. I did got its sequel, GW2 but somehow, the game puts me off; hence, haven't "truly began the game" and I'm not even sure if I'll fire it up someday...

--STEAM LAUNCH:

Harsh launch! Bugs and crash aside, I've been a member since Half Life 2 released on day 1. I was active every now and then between MMOs and other games.

--PRESENT:

I'm on Steam almost daily; to see what's the daily deal and also, trying to reduce that ever growing backlog of games! I'm mainly a single player gamer though!

--SPACE SIMULATION

Big comeback of Space Simulation games! It was about time!
