Hate the game solo, love it with friends.

Reminds me a lot of Super Monday Night Combat that some of us oldheads might remember vividly, but it's strictly (and rightly so) objective based & the total terrain destruction is a charming twist. Pretty solid overall, just bring some buddies.

So far so good. Played a little bit before work on launch. It's not too hard, not too easy, and the AI intelligently harass and annoy me to no end. Pretty good experience and I think over time, especially if they add any FreeLC that it'll be super worth the price.

Has skirmish battles, campaign levels, pvp, easy cosmetic unlocks and a simple and viable unit v unit formula. Fun voice acting!

I like this game. It's got enough content to justify the price but it isn't too hard. I was able to complete the game on my first run without any of the roguelite perks and it took about 45 minutes. I'm excited for future updates as I'm a big fan of this type of auto-RTS genre and there aren't a lot of games out there that humor the power fantasy of swarms of minions scouring the map for enemies.

There are some bugs, but they aren't very meaningful. Perhaps the worst one is that after you reach the first fork in the road on your game the AI will begin to get stuck or path weirdly, and some regions do not have their own dedicated guard as others do. Looking forward to the future I hope there are more additions like tuning up the base building system or investing in the ability to create more units. Perhaps this game will go the route of a campaign? Procedural map generation? A minimap to track hordes? A rally point feature to mass a few more troops than usual in a single spot? The art is nice so it'd be a shame to be stuck to one single map or be stuck bolting side to side so much that you don't get to appreciate anything.

Great game overall for casual players, a must-buy it if you can spare a couple bucks.

Fun! Simple, f2p and mtx is for cosmetic flair-- and the cosmetics look really good! You can unlock a better base skin just by familiarizing yourself with the game and playing character specific tutorials. This is a game done right. I hope Warhaven continues on this path, I had to drag myself away from the game!

Worth a look.

One of the more underwhelming games, the Starfield universe is a mile wide and an inch deep. You'll constantly be beset by quest lines that result in dead ends- what you do tends to not really matter outside of the reward which challenges the notion Bethesda sold which is that the player helps shape their world when really it's the player that is burdened to remember that they did anything at all. While the main faction experience is extremely interesting during game play and I'd say a decent number of side quests, it suffers from the same shortcomings which leaves you simply perusing a long list of short stories before you get to reach New Game+ (a glorified randomizer).

I think I could honestly compare this to The Outer Worlds and not feel bad about it. It's just not really that fun to me as a seasoned RPG player, but I will argue that this is an introductory RPG for players who want to get into the genre albeit at a steep hardware cost. There's technically a lot to do, and if you don't have any high expectations you should get a lot of value out of this even if it won't be this decade's Skyrim. You could probably play any other game that makes use of X feature and find that they do it better than Starfield, but it's overall a visually enticing and casual experience that should satiate many players regardless.

TL;DR, I recommend this game to new RPG players or people who are deeply infatuated with space. Try Game Pass.

A time-honored classic. Albeit just as rife with MTX as the original, I've never had a session of Killing Floor 2 that didn't satisfy my murder-maim-kill addiction. I think my biggest gripe with selling weapons to the players through real money was always kind of a FOMO situation- the regular arsenal is fine but once you know there's more out there (and some of it woefully unbalanced) then it's always going to be a constant on my mind. This is especially true when seeing these paywalled weapons being consistent must-buys for easy clears. The game is worth grabbing on sale or through a key reseller to experience some serious wave survival dopamine before KF3 drops. Perhaps they'll explore subclasses instead of straight trait trees? Raw values to complement or balance your options.

Remnant II is a good game! I was put off by the first game of this series but I'm glad I picked this one up. It was a lot of fun playing solo and with friends & I look forward to any DLC-- hopefully they're quite expansive if there is any to come! This is one of the games that I truly understood the 'why' and 'how' I met my unfortunate ends and as a result the challenging aspects of the game were the most fun! Very good game if you like shooters, grinding out levels, hunting down secrets and fighting challenging enemies.

Baldur's Gate 3 was a game that I, and many others, looked forward to for a long time. It was almost kind of baffling to see the popularity of the game skyrocket on launch and part of I graciously attribute to the CRPG and TTRPG sales Steam hosted prior to launch and its excellent timing in a market saturated with... well, badly made games. Larian Studios brought with it an expansive scope that is a step above than what wass provided by tabletop stylized Pathfinder and Pillar of Eternity series CRPGs, and currently the last mark on my list is currently the WH40K inspired 'Rogue Trader' to release and I'm sorry to say that Baldur's Gate 3 may forever leave me wanting more from these other titles (as much fun as I had with them). My time with this game in Early Access sort of spoiled my appetite for the intro at first but as I went further into the game I found my joy swiftly rekindled. Shoot, I had 70 hours into my save from scouring the map and choices therein before I even reached Baldur's Gate!

Larian has virtually done it all with this game. Adapted from the Dungeons & Dragons rules and lore, players will pursue the dark machinations of a mysterious and powerful few whilst constantly tempted to surrender themselves to their own inherited sinister power. The plot generally runs quite well, and while it is filled with plenty of tropes (some bad, some tolerable), I found it to be extremely engaging and immersive at nearly all steps of the journey. Some things you may be looking for in this RPG that you will find are: choices-matter driven storytelling, memorable companions and NPC characters, a flexible and deep understanding of D&D style lore, plenty of secrets and alternate trails to follow and especially the rigorous and noteworthy voice acting and motion capture that leaves a lasting impression of all entities you interact with. I think the only downside with the choices driven storytelling is that even with the presentation of the plot you may find yourself being kneecapped anytime you pick an "evil" option. There is virtually no benefit if not to simply break even and thrift a minor healing potion from the corpses of innocents and I wish this plotline was explored better. Regardless, this is truly a gem of a game, and if you are on the fence on it at all based on any third party media you've experienced then patiently wait for a couple of patches to come through-- some of the rumors are true such as romance being seemingly forced on you and some choppiness or inconsistencies in the later acts but the developers are hard at work to put their signature shine on the game! Again, truly a gem of a game and honestly I hope future DLC for this pursues fattening up the mid and endgame to fill in for cut content and some of the shortcomings with choosing a path off the well-trodden hero route.

Honestly, huge Mount and Blade fan but something is off with the dev cycle of this game. For starters, when we pledged our money early for the game it was under the assumption that after so many long years that something close to a finished product would ship. It definitely didn't. 1.0 rolled around and I hopped back in to see... no noticeable differences from what it was months prior. Lots of bug fixes but the content never really developed and even the smallest quality of life features were nowhere to be found and seemingly nowhere near their time to address. Multiplayer must be a big scene in this game because I see a new patch for it every time they release one (now at a steadily slower rate).

I think the game and its shortcomings could be temporarily absolved by the modding community who do great work (especially that cool Garrison mod that basically solved 90% of my issues with owning fiefdoms). It just sucks that, all this hard work making the game still playable is destroyed when the developers want to make sure a rare crash doesn't happen again and breaks every mod available. That has to be so tiring for the modders, which you would think would get a little more attention considering, again, they are the ones making the game still playable whether it works or not.

But yeah, that's just the thing I guess. The game by itself was cool in a "I've been waiting for so long!!!" sense but after a while I struggled to put an hour into it at a time-- and when nothing significant changes besides a mace being added it gets boring. Shoot, for a LONG while you couldn't even give a vassal a fief so defense was entirely on your back alone. Whatever, though. Hope it sees a long development cycle and their interest in the game persists.
