DayZ is the mother of them all survival games. What makes this game good is the character UI, the immersion, the nights, the realism on character. Apart from that defenatly the mods wich also a pain in the ass. There is defenatly no other survival game that actually catches the immersion. Though its very limited in its vanilla.

This Vanilla should have more airdrops. Global chat. Better Mod update handling. More immersive World like big caves. Better POI. More to do in houses. And pretty much everything you need on Mods here. But it just became a pain in the ass installing like 32 mods to actually bring the game to a good standard. I tried DayZ2 mod on Arma E. but the character was totally not there. I jsut hope they bring a DayZ 2 Standalone that actually as good as the best mods in this game. Apart from to much going on.

Wife and I playing this adventure game. Pretty good!

As a true Alien fan all my life, is it cool that they made a new Alien game... Of course graphics are good looking, and way more looking that Alien Colonial Marines. I will problaby test the game bit more in the future, and I will keep it instead of refunding.

Where this game clearly fails is the gameplay mechanics, right from the start, you jump straight in straight to the action. Part of the point with Aliens movie is it thriller horror and tension. You dont have that in this game. As an old sgt. in the army, it kind fits right in the road I dont like, the highly unrealistic shoot and run like a crazy soldier. I was hoping there where more horror, more cooperation as marines than this, instead you run around killling hordes of xenos, and it just dont feel that Alien Tension or PVE tension you have at for example open world survival games.

The other part i didnt like is some of the animation feel really cheap made. And music, is bad.

I will problaby need to make another review as I play more hours but I feel obligated since Im reading some really STUPID reviews from some here after 2 hours....

+ The Game is really inmersive, its feels better than Civiization and different. After a couple of tries you get a hang of the gameplay

+ The Music for this game and soundeffects are absolute fantastic!

+ The graphics are very good

+ The game runs at 68 FPS at top graphics.

+ You have some options for character customization

+ The Multiplayer seemes ok, not laggy.

+ The Civic, Religion and Tech tree seems pretty well made

+ Some of the units are pretty awesome

+ The cities management is way better made than Civilization games

+ Tutorial vids very helpfull

+ They added ERA Stars and Famepoints! Hell yeah!

Now some of the cons:

- Im not sure if there is to much going on or info, but im a new player willing to learn and see.

- Im not sure either about the automatic battle stuff. I like it manual, but I been pressing that since I dont know how to 100% play the game yet.

I like the Prepper part, story the crafting, and the survivalism part, however. Im kinda unmotivated to play more due to the controls. The 2D playing, point there and rund is not really my thing anymore. With a bit more time and making this third person 3D game would be problaby much better.. Im a survival man and a space guy too, but a rocket for a dude hiding from the goverment, making in its bunker... ? Nah..

The voice talking is kinda annoying too, should be a real dialogue or just cut the voice sound the character makes at all. And yeah you really should be able to make your own characters too, We live in 2021, games should be bit more advanced. But i will dropp to get the refund on this one since there arent many games that kinda build up on this.

This was a terrible Early Stage Game.

The Story is bad.
The Graphics Totally Suck
The Graphics and fish eye camera make you dizzy.
The Character Customization is very very simple.
The Animation are very poor
The Music becomes boring after and hour.
The Survivalism in this game is very unrealistic and unlikely
The Magic Aura Stoff, is so bad
The Controls are very bad.
The Sound Effects in are not realistic
The Story is a shame for Viking and Norrøn Mythology.
The Exploding Gore in this game, like WTF dude everything explodes.

You have a PvP on / off button in game.
The Basebuilding is poor this just like a mobile game.

To be like 8 years in the making, its sad, feels like an old game and where the animations, gameplay and graphics are problaby better in SCUM.

There is saddly alot of animation bugs on this game, its poor. The animation and UI of crafting could be bit better.

What I like though is the amount of things to loot and do. And how good the Zombies actually look in this game. The map is too very dynamic and feels bit scary at the times.

To date Maybe a 6/10 So I changed my mind and gave it a positive review.

So after trying to reinstall this game multiple times, I realized the Steam install was crashing windows. It sadly led me to clean install the PC. Lucky though all I lost was the installed apps. Now it could finally be installed again. And though the update is big, something is cool. It's just feels like it's waaaaaaaaay of, of what is promised and or we 've been waiting for years.

It surely began to sink in, when Tomislav said he wont post leaks anymore. Or I became sceptical of all things they've been saying "it's planned" for years.

Let me sum up the broken promises:

1. No Unreal Engine 5 update (which they btw claim today, it's too new to use which is bs.).

2. No Console (wich clearly was the reason they banned me recently, since I said there is no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way you are releasing console or 1.0 in a year, and so they delayed it)

3. No Martial Arts, No Tactics, No Bio Chem, No Sailing, No Climbing skill NO nothing.

4. NPC well they release something, defenatly not the ones they been teasing you with the past years.

There is a TON of concept art that they probably drained down the toilet. NBC Hazmat Soldiers, "The Boss" that supposed to be in the trader, The Stripper they talked so many times about. The Queen (got crucified by Jagex), the Tec 1 soldiers, THE FANTASTIC WILD HUNTERS, WILD HUNTER ALPHA! THE WILD HUNTER WARRIOR; THE WILD HUNTER SCOUT, THE WORKERS, THE NEWBORNS and all the cool caves they supposed to add for this, but SURE they gave us UNlimited spawning Razors, and a invisible Mr Brenner, and on top of that a Dropship that is a pain in the ass just in case you think it was to easy going to the armory for a "No Item Found" it visit you at the exit, and or destroy your base.

Yeah i know if on ther road map, but its just stuff like that should be allready on a 1.0 release.........
Probably just so you could forget about all other who knows… Make a new Roadmap, give Beda higher salary and put and extra dropshit.


5. They reworked the Big empty map now so it feels more empty and performance wise "good", specially for tiny new bunkers NOBODY WANT.

6. Hell they even removed 90% of the animals, for a terrible Hunting Perform.. ehm i mean Hunting Rework that nobody likes, and putting the birds when you casually eat a mushroom you shouldn't...

7. What happened to all the POI they talk about, a Beach Hotel, The Moving Train, the Cargo Port with the Cargo ship, but sure they added River City, the one radiated city nobody goes too.. Instead lets remove something we like. APART FROM THE OLD TRADER IN THE SNOW lol.

8. Now you can't even jump off the stairs, because of the movement rework, also you basically should not jump at all! because your stamina is worse than my old grandma. FPV is still terrible and it feels like your wearing augmentet glasses, compare to DayZ!

9. NO Svalberg DLC, or Gamepires Norway AS. What a disgrace, like I know how to drive business in my country and here comes one, start a company and close it after 2 months... Even me got to tell my masters degree programmers to consider joining the company. GOD glad they didn't.

10. Where is the woman DLC? Instead ve got another man. What a disgrace to women.

11. Where is the Police Car, The Scuba Gear, The Helicopter? In waves they say, yeah see you in 2028 when they actually release this game in a proper 1.0 version 2034 maybe.

12. Zoomable maps, like in every new freaking INDIE survival you can zoom the map and place waypoints, But in SCUM however a 7 year old wannabe 1.0, you embrace the suck

13. Every time they release a f* update they break stuff. Like it took them several months before the weapon malfunction was gone! And now that they apparently added it back (have they?) now what breaks are the freaking Blueprint Bubbles, that glitches so bad your base get replaced or censored with glitch, signed by these devs.

14. Every animation makes the game suck, or glitch. They think its funny, I think now after 6 years its a waste of my time.

15. This game is horribly unbalanced. No Item found, the very rare C4 that is not powerful at all, the never seeing AWP, or Rocketlauncher, Phoenix Tears... Hell what's even the point of getting a few
radioactive materials from the Powerplant to make AP rounds that are barely any powerful against a Mech, and a mechs that ALL servers seem to turn off? Yeah i know its in the ROadmap to change things but still, i just dont trust them anymore!

Like why in the hell, you will go to a coal mine to get coal? I know its there? But why? And why do we have a pickaxe? For fun? And While we are at it does armor and melee weapons actually have any damage chart, does the improvised sword do less damage than the golden fancy skin ass katana? Does the improvise helmet does any less defence points than the Military helmets? Does the stabproof vest actually work? Or bulletproof vest?

Well In Rust they surely do, in SCUM? Im not that sure. At least they told us they would not add Mining nodes to the game lol

16. Community managers seem to go from banning cheaters to banning the critique! That's seriously what they do now, because on Steam Chart it hasn't been super good for SCUM on active players...

17. NO Hover button so the inventory rework seems very cheap to me. There is NO hover button, or move all items to a chest, or an organizer button. Which again you can probably find in most survival games out there apart from SCUM. But in SCUM you can however take 1 and 1 nail and bolt out.

18. NO seasons, Nah SCUM devs rather rework their now boring map, as long as they have the old trader there with no plans they have something to look forward to.

19. NO new events. They talked about reworking and moving the events, but instead? Do we know the answer? It's planned... For version 2.0 at 2045

20. The Tournament Mode, why do we even have this here? This is no PUBG or Fortnite, in your dreams if you ever beat one of those games player wise.

21. No Mods. Instead we got a TON of Server Admin Settings, nobody understands or cares about.

22. No Solar Panels no Light, nah in scum you light up a torch that goes out. Actually you don't even need a torch or night vision, because in SCUM nights every server turns up their gamma in server settings, so you can see a mile away...

23. Farming, they broke it! you know it!

24. Fishing, its still broke and you know it!

25. No Dynamic TV, or proper radios instead we hear John ♥♥♥♥… Why oh why

26. No Cinematic Commands for admins or creators. they are for sure very happy of using them for themself. In the meanwhile the most popular content creators for DayZ and Rust keep pushing videos watched by millions.

27. Twenty Seven broken promises, Twenty Seven broken promises, you take one down and pass it around. There is a “Hot Fix” for you.

28. Server files are a big mess, they release like 6 updates in a row.

The problem with must survival games out there is that, either they trying to much to be to realistic, or like ARK is it has to much that is just not very realistic and it gets unbalanced. I understand this is a game many do like, but for me is the building, animations, character graphics, the dinosaurs A.I. and the realism level that seem to me very poor made.

Its fun for 3 hours, that it, i hope Ark II its much much better made.
