PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS is a shooter in which the last survivor wins. Starting the game with nothing, you have to get weapons and supplies to fight for the first place and become the last hero.

Two million copies sold, fees of more than twenty million dollars, the top places in the Top Twitch and Steam sales - so in two months PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS started. Yes, yes, it is entirely in capital letters, without extra modesty, the name of the game is indicated in Steam. But shy developers have almost nothing - the game is good, especially for "early access".
Created her Brandon Green - author of the mod Battle Royale for ArmA 2, known under the nickname PLAYERUNKNOWN. He also helped develop the mode of King of the Kill for H1Z1. In fact, Green alone formed a new genre, now conventionally called battle royale.

In PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS, a hundred players in the post-Soviet era are landing on the fictional island of Erangel in the Black Sea. The island is abandoned: everywhere collapsed "Zaporozhye" and our native "UAZ", and on the walls full of revolutionary inscriptions. Local residents clearly went in a hurry and left many useful items: weapons, cartridges and equipment.

Purpose: to survive all the others. And how to achieve it, everyone decides for himself. If you want to - hide in the corners and wait for the enemies to shoot each other, if you want - go for yourself in search of opponents. The second option will suit either very experienced or very brave players. If you believe in-game statistics, the best players here do not do heroes at all - the kill / death indicator on the top lines of the rating ranges from 1 to 4. As Green himself says, PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS is a game primarily tactical. Here you are not a shooter.

The island is big. Very big! It happens that there are about thirty left survivors, and you have not seen anyone even from a distance. Do not worry, you're just lucky (or not lucky if you crave blood). But the whole match in one shelter will not be able to sit, and not only because after ten or fifteen minutes it will be incredibly boring to look at the local landscapes.
The war zone is gradually narrowing. Almost immediately after the start of the match (the language does not turn to call it a fight), a white area appears on the map, where you have to get to a certain time. Who did not have time, he died. The position of the field in each match is random, so you will not be able to anticipate a convenient landing site. Then the area gradually narrows. By the time, when there are ten or twenty players, its size is reduced to about 1/150 cards.

We get to the island without weapons and equipment. But on earth we can find everything you want: pistols, submachine guns, ultrasound, sniper rifles, grenades and even crossbows. Well, the most formidable weapon - pans. As a rule, it is easy to find a gun, but for the rest you have to run.
What exactly you will find depends on the random number generator. It happens that in some room there are AKM and M16, and in the next match there will be three low-level backpacks in it. Well, if you have a really bloodthirsty mood, you can not waste your time looking for weapons. Do you have your own fists, why do you need something else?

Ballistic mechanics is built perfectly and will be understood by everyone who has ever played in a decent shooter. To weapons you can collect an impressive arsenal of upgrades, they will give you confidence in this unfriendly place. Sights (from twofold to fifteenfold), increased stores, modifiers of rate of fire, speed of recharging, accuracy and killing - that Almighty randomly throws.
Even here you can find armor, helmets and backpacks; Each of these items has three levels of quality. Without a backpack, you can only carry cartridges with you, and how many will fit into your pockets. Well, the helmet and bulletproof vest will prolong life.

Travel is useful transport. If you're lucky, you'll find one of two UAZ models, a Dacia car, a buggy, a motorcycle with a stroller or even a motor boat. But it is better to walk if possible. Motors in all this technology are very noisy. It is necessary to start the engine, and all the campers in the district will immediately know where you are.
Sound is generally the main landmark in the world of PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS. He is even more important here than in Counter-Strike. By the sound of footsteps and shots, one can understand whether there is an enemy nearby and where he is. Maybe even a sniper can figure it out. In general, the sound and trunk are your only allies in these post-Soviet "hungry games."

You can play in three modes: solo, in pairs and in a group. For the game, solo bonuses will be given much more than when playing with partners. But bonus points have no influence whatsoever. For them you can get only visual upgrades of the character. But who knows, maybe in time they will become more useful.

We need to pay for the game, but only once, we did not find any donat in it. So far PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS is only on the PC, but Green has already said that the versions for the consoles are on the way. Now a separate team is working on porting the game to Xbox One, and then the PS4 queue will come.

The game is good. It seems to be measured and unhurried, it constantly keeps the player in suspense and requires complete concentration. If you have not met anyone in ten houses in a row, do not relax, the price of inattention is life. There is no one true tactic here. Each match is not like the previous one, and you will have to constantly adjust to the circumstances. Which, by the way, gives chances to beginners.
PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS is not perfect, but the early access is not over yet. Now the most notable problem is optimization. It is terrible, despite the engine of Unreal Engine 4. In addition, the game "forgets" to unload RAM, and each new match slows down more than the previous one. Saves only restarting the game.
The rest - little things, their developers probably will finish it. For example, after death, I would like to see who and from where you killed (well, it's interesting, sometimes it's not clear where it came from!), As well as match statistics. In the Russian version (yes, it is even in "early access"!) Words are not placed in the allotted space, so that instead of the "single" mode, only "full-time" is visible.
But play these shortcomings almost do not interfere...
