The game matchmaking is not fair, its broken. Its not win some and loose some. Its loose 99% and win 1%.
If you win even a single match you are at the risk of getting teamed up with people who either just installed the game or people with smooth brains.
The devs said they dont use EOMM which means engagement optimised matchmaking. I don't know what they use but definitely use something similar or even worse. The game matchmaking makes it designed to give constant continuous losses so that you are tempted to play the game until you get a win. This is such a pathetic and low-life trick to get people to play the game which is why the reviews are at mixed.
Word of Advise if you loose your 1st game of the day chances are its going to continue for quite a streak so dont play the game if you loose a match or two. Take some time and try it again.
90% of the matches are one sided curb stomps.
Frustating asf.

Definitely worth the purchase, One of those games where you could come back home after a long tiresome day and play this to just have some mindless carnage fun.

The resurgence this game had even with crap optimisation was
H2M- A MW2 2009 multiplayer mod. It's not just a copy paste mod the people who worked on it for years added so much extra stuff to this and polished the 2009 original.
What had Activision done?
Introduced sale to boost sales knowingly that h2m mod release announcement went viral by content creators.
Waited until sale was finished and then proceeded to hit the H2M with the classis C&D right before the mod release.
Just when I thought Black ops 6 was looking good.
Not to mention for H2M to work you needed to own a authentic steam copy of mwr which is why in the 1st place many people bought the game.
But now no more H2M refunding this piece of 💩. I suggest everyone else do the same as the official mwr multiplayer is peer 2 peer , people can hack and gain access to your computer.

Better release and fun than darktide.

Here's a tip for beginners, if you ran out of welding fuel for fixing ship leaks you can use oxygen tank instead for the welder. Just isn't efficient and is a last resort.

Update 02/09/2023

The games optimisation is still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. They somehow can't make this game utilise mulit-core processors efficiently. Even after playing around and trying out every worker thread option the games cpu utilisation can't go above 30-40% meanwhile GPU usage goes upto 99%.
Not to mention theres still so many bugs from the freaking closed beta still to be found in this game. Like randomly my chat stops working unless I restart.
The game still occasionally can't even close properly and I have to terminate steam through task manager since it shows darktide is still running.
Playerbase is around 4000 or something mostly from West & Eu side. SEA is practically dead.
Gameplay wise and stuff was improved upon but the optimisation ultimately kills it for me. Not to mention their McDonald wifi cheapass servers lagging.

Never played MW2019 because I didn't have a good pc or console for it.
But I have played previous cods till black ops 3.
Coming to MWII, Games is really good. I've seen people using various loadouts and stuff.
There's meta but still the selection is good.
Plays really well on my 3060.
Now coming to the problems,
Ping/Latency: Oh boy, the one thing I hate the most is when I have 70-80 ping and am playing against people with single digit to 20ms ping max. You can say whatever you want, if both people have the same skill level and you get pitted against each other theres no way you are winning a fair fight head on with the guy that has lesser ping. The game is very much ping dependent. I don't have any lag don't get me wrong but the enemy always sees me 1st and start shooting way ahead than you while in my screen I die the second I see the enemy. Sadly theres no way to fix this unless they have servers in my country. The only roundabout this is flanking and soundwhoring along with playing meta that has less ttk. I've just joined in the open beta and we have people who have been playing it since day 1 so most of the matches have people that go insane calling in VTOLs. It's frustrating asf. This is one my main aspects I dislike about this game.
Coming to 2nd one theres cheaters already, being in Asia is hell since chinese players get into your servers and you know the scene in PUBG. Walling, Aim bot etc you name it. But this is to be expected since it's a BETA.
I would like to give this game a neutral rating but theres no such thing.
TL;DR Game looks and plays good but matchmaking/ping sucks.
Hopefully we can region lock servers or maybe search for player lobbies with a set ping when the game releases.

The recent reviews changed to mixed because the devs balanced this class to make her not op. The class was ridiculously op at launch. Pre 4.6 update even the bots used to spam their career skills and deleted everything. She has everything for what is supposed to be a support class. Her DPS was unmatched along with her hp regen talents aiding to her survivability.
Other DLC careers weren't this unbalanced at release in fact Outcast Engineer for the dwarf is weaker than the non dlc careers. So, this nerf was obvious. But elf mains, as I would like to call Nacl Wutelgi mains are mad that they can't be op anymore. Any negative review you see saying they nerfed her too much is 100% a elf main that you won't like to play with as they care more about their kill count rather than teamwork & support which this career was made in mind.
Don't pay attention to the mixed reviews at all, the class is still strong interms of melee.
