still good 2 decades after the og release

I used to play the original COD4 when it first released and had hoped to get OG experiences with new updated graphics. I purchased the Remaster thinking it would run well on my PC despite the discussion around optimisation and playability. Turns out I am also facing a common issue, just after completing Charlie don't surf, the game will crash to desktop.

After checking a few workarounds, I couldn't get anything to work so I decided to contact steam support and ask for a full refund. The game itself, without me yet touching multiplayer had looked and generally played really well. It is still true to the original in some sense, however the crashing is a deal breaker and I cannot justify paying the price for such a broken product.

I'd say nothing is wrong with the original game and I'd recommend buying that instead if you're looking for the OG COD4 experience.
