Overall great idea of a game but missing some core features (replay, surrender, ...)

2 words: amazing game

Fun game? YES! Should everybody buy it? NO!

Basically, I consider this game to be between Arma III realistic gameplay (where everyone is tryharding against AI to capture a map or coplete a mission) and Battlefield 2 (where half the people run around to just get kills and be on the top of the leaderboard).

This game is very team and objective oriented so if you play it on your own, you wont have fun. Find yourself a nice team/squad or even regiments (of which there are many). Playing this game with a group is the most fun!

Are you looking for a naval combat simulator? Ask yourself the following question: do I want to grind around 2 days to be able to get a decent starting ship and then hunt after another ship/player for around 10 minutes and then play a very realistic battle where you pay more attention to the wind than anything else?

If the answer to that question is: I dont mind a slow paced simulator, sure this game is decent for you! I myself like it, yet keep in mind it is grindy and you will be punished severely for thinking you can match a higher tier ship.

the best comparision I have for this game is Elite dangerous. Most of the time, you will be tabbed out watching a video whilst your ship is going to its destination.

Very different from your normal FPS game. Very unforgiving and any mistake you make, you will get shot. But still, SO MUCH FUN. Especially with friends. Massive battles and actualy free 2 play without being pay 2 win! Anyone who says this is pay 2 win has no clue what they are saying. Starter weapons are VERY competitive and almost all weapons can be bought with in game currency. Only skins require actual money transactions

Pulsar: Lost Colony is a mixture of simulation, story and fun games. Some ships are based on combat or science whilst another is based on selling cookies throughout the universe and becoming the best cookie-salesman of the known galaxy

Based on the information provided, can you guess what game this review is for? What's it about? What kind of game is it?

The game is fun and interesting at first sight. Some aspects are easy to understand such as piloting and weapons. However, science and engineering can be brutal as there is no explanation. Luckily, some discord servers exist who more than happy to explain how the game works.

Next to this, the game is supposed to be played with a crew (YOU CAN MAX PLAY THIS GAME WITH 5 PLAYERS!). At least 3 human players is advised as less would make it very difficult and hectic. These players can be your friends or random players in open servers.

All in all, the game is decent. I would say its worth around 10-15 euros however I don't have any problem paying 20 to support the devs a bit more.
