As of writing this review, the year is 2021, and the America is more politically divided than ever. But you know what 2004 game doesn't give a number two? METAL WOLF CHAOS SON!!!
GTA San Andreas? Wack.
Fable? Wack.
Doom 3? Wack.
Metal Gear Solid 3? Wack.
Halo 2? More like GayIo 2!
Half-Life 2? Are you kidding me?!

Metal Wolf Chaos is LITERALLY the Evangelion of Video Games™; and the absolute pinnacle of what Video Games™ can do as a interactive medium. The very fact that a game like this exists is a testament to what human's are capable of making. Thank you From Software.

In the first level alone, you start off slaughtering waves upon waves of your own U.S. soldiers; but it's ok though because it's a coup d'etat, like that's the entire justification?? Anyway, you just feel this sense of euphoria wash over you, as you treat crowds upon crowds of soldiers with your sweet sweet freedom bullets. If this game's story was a person, than they stole my girlfriend in High School right before prom.

And I'll be 100% honest with you, this is one of those games; where you have to come into it with a certain mind-set and a certain sense of humor in order to enjoy it for all it's worth. The music has this 2000's shovel-ware jank sound to it, the game runs at a chunky 30fps, and the voice acting makes Oblivion look like it's worthy of an Oscar nomination. But despite all of this, you just have to stop looking at this game objectively in order to have fun with it.

I think the best movie I can compare this game to, is "Who Killed Captain Alex"; because you're not really laughing at the game, so much as laughing WITH the game, like as if the game has a layer of self-awareness, and meta-ironic narratives at play. I mean for gods sake; there's an achievement literally called "Let's Partyyyyy!!!". That ALONE should sell you on this absolute masterpiece, and what stands the test of time, to look back on as a monument for all that is The Land of The Free™.



tl;dr - To sum this review up in one sentence, if this is the future that liberals are afraid of, than sign me the heck up!!!
