relaxing sandbox game with good content updates where you can either be very meticulous with how things develop in your world or you can sit back and see how things unfold

As someone who has played Left 4 Dead 2 and Killing Floor 2 for thousands of hours, I appreciate the clear inspiration that this game got from them. While obviously not on their level, Ultimate Zombie Defense 2 delivers a simple but fun wave-based zombie killing experience, with a perk system to justify replaying the current few maps it provides.
As it's still in Early Access (as it seems most games are nowadays), there's still a lot to be added, improved and fixed. I hope the developer doesn't give up on the game as it has a lot of potential.
At the time this review is being written, there have been around 15-20 online players and a few servers - the game seems to be specially popular in Asia, so if you're in another continent get ready to either have a high ping or host your own lobby and maybe not getting it fully populated.

A relatively light survival game that's quite fun, specially in multiplayer. It's completely free and fortunately there is no pay2win aspect nor microtransactions of any sort.

Badass atmosphere, cool character designs, interesting story clearly made by a bunch of metalheads (which is awesome).
This is one of my favourite games to hit the Humble Bundle, I feel like I was lucky to get it in time!

What initially started over a decade ago as a simple 2D clone of at the time's Counter-Strike 1.6, CS2D has evolved with continous updates and support from the developer (DC of Unreal Software) over the years, with features you won't find in a 3D CS game, such as Construction mode and special weapons like the Portal gun and flamethrower. There's lots of ways to play the game, ranging from classic standard team vs. team action in de_dust2 to roleplaying in a 'Happy Town' map, if that's your thing. There's also a map editor which is easy to use where you can place tiles, add properties to them and entities to simulate things like lights and weather - you can see community creations and even upload your own at Unreal Software's File Archive (http://unrealsoftware.de/files.php). It's amazing the hours of fun you can have in a simple-looking game that doesn't even occupy close to 1Gb in your hard drive.

Personally, I have played this game since about 2007/2008, basically a decade ago. I've seen it grow and played each and every update, to the point I even was addicted at a time, but then started playing on-and-off.
I'm very glad it's now on Steam, well-deserved #1 on the last Steam Greenlight ever.

Excellent stress relief game.
I love the atmosphere, it has great graphics and The Antagonist looks and sounds great (props to the narrator). Just wish there were more kinds of executions, though.
