So far so good for early access.

Greatest Final Fantasy game of all time.

Lucky me I didn't get any performance issues. So far so good.

It's like somebody ordered Battlefield on Wish or Temu.

It's the best of the 80s-90s SSI games hands down. The others are still good but this one and Wake of The Ravager have aged the best.

The games themselves are untouched and unpolished. They're just dosbox ports of the IBM versions from what I can tell. If you own it on GOG you probably don't need it here. But what this version does offer is a companion app that sometimes works if you scale down and play in windowed mode at 720p in a 960x600 window. It has maps and stats that flank the window and add a bit to the QOL of the game. Problem is the app is wonky ATM and sometimes doesn't load even after down scaling. I'd assume it will be smoothed out down the road though. Still tickles the nostalgia G spot though and is worth the money just for that.

I roll ones constantly on both attacks and damage. Just like I do at the table playing live D&D.

10/10 Would roll 1s again.

The main game's crusader mode is just terrible. You can skip it but it just creates time gates on the overland map for no reason. They continually fix bugs to the point where the game is polished and is imo better than kingmaker in gameplay. The big win here is the Treasure Island DLC roguelike mode. I sunk the most time in Kingmaker's dungeon crawl and so far I'm doing the same with this game. The Dungeon Crawl DLC in this game is much more polished and the roguelike elements really add to the replayability.

6/10 for the main game and other DLCs.*

There's a lot contributing to a poor Battlefield experience here starting with SMGs can snipe someone out at a 1000 yards. The gun play is derpy still despite an overhaul. The snipers can't be dialed in for distances and drop seems to be nearly eliminated. There is only like 10 guns and about the same amount of gadgets and only a few of them are competitive at the moment. They gave us MOBA/Overwatch style characters with different abilities instead of traditional classes. The maps are uninspired and borderline boring. Overall the only thing that's good is Portal Mode where you can play a limited amount of a few older BF games using the new engine. I'd give this game six or more months to get its ♥♥♥♥ together. I'm hoping like 4 and V started off rough and ended up great, this game will too. Because right now this is like someone ordered a Battlefield game off of Wish.

This game sucked when launched, now it doesn't.
