ARPG, Boss fight game. Its great in small groups and has a ton of content. I recommend playing on Brutal difficulty if you can.

Its my favourite game. I love the progression. The world is beautiful. And playing in a small group is deeply satisfying. Its the pinnacle of survival-crafting games.

Edit: Try out a hardcore, no map no portal world. It will change the experience.

Its a deeply satisfying management game that explodes with possibilities due to its excellent mod community.
You want various story themes? Got it.
You want many aesthetic choices? Got it.
You want violence? Got it.
You want peaceful development? Got it.
You want to have a child soldier army that you can replace via cloning vats? Got it.

Highly cute. Highly fun. Difficulty is highly customizable so you can GET GUD, or you can relax and make silly massive projects. Both are fun.

Well, I love this game. Despite what i guess has been a lot of unpleasant time spent with it. At least for me, the game has been incredibly lonely. I haven't had the opportunity to play with friends at all in 200 hours. And its rare to meet a stranger and have it go well. The amount of kill on sight interactions that happen even at low gear and in starter situations is upsettingly high.

Old Review:
Played on a free weekend. I honestly really enjoyed it but its a fairly shallow game play loop and i dont think i will buy the game unless i see it on a sale again. But its a series im very interested in now. If the third game takes feed back and improves, it could be something special.

I tried to refund this but you cant after two hours of play apparently.

Everything about this game is frustrating. I cant believe it was ever play tested.

Dont buy this game.

This is a great role playing game. Probably one of the best ever. While it lacks in the strategy element, its emergent story telling is top shelf. The memes about incest and child murder might not be for everyone, but even if thats not your style there is much to find here of worth.

Also, CK3 one small expansion after launch already rivals CK2 at the end of its development. Bravo Paradox.
