After over 1000 hours played and the story finally coming to an end, here’s my little review for Payday 2

- - - Graphics - - -

3 / 5 – Good
Compared to other games, Payday 2 definitely isn’t the most beautiful game you’ll ever see, but the style is definitely fitting.
Overkill updated visuals and textures over the years so it doesn't look too outdated.

- - - Gameplay - - -

5 / 5 – Addicting
When I first played Payday, I couldn’t stop. You spend countless hours trying to finish that one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ heist in stealth, and when you finally get it, it’s so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ satisfying.
Even if you're not the stealth type of player, the different playstyles you can try out with the skill and perk system, plus the massive amount of guns, should give you a lot of time just to test out stuff—until you finally find a playstyle that fits you and your preferred difficulty.

- - - Audio - - -

5 / 5 – Would listen outside of the game
Simon Viklund did an amazing job composing the soundtracks for each different heist. Every track is perfectly fitting, and some of them are really amazing (I even listen to some of them from time to time).
Each gun sounds unique, and just by listening to the SWAT teams, you can tell if they’re about to push you or fall back.

- - - Difficulty - - -

4 / 5 – Challenging
Each difficulty is unique. In stealth, higher difficulties mean more guards or even bulletproof cameras.
In loud, depending on the difficulty, you’ll be attacked by normal police, SWAT teams, or the Zeal team. On higher difficulties, you really need to make a build that fits each heist—and teamplay becomes more and more important the harder it gets.

5 / 5 – Very Deep
In the beginning, Payday 2 was just a simple bank-robbing game. With the addition of the Dentist, it started to get more story-driven, with heists connecting the story together a bit more.

But over the past one to two years, the Payday story has gotten incredibly deep and had such a blasting ending that I never expected a game I stopped playing back when they said they’d stop supporting it (in 2016) would hit me so hard in the end.
The story is hard to understand if you just casually play the game, but if you really dig into it, you’ll notice how deep everything truly goes.

5 / 5 – Endless
A ♥♥♥♥ ton of weapons, a big skill and perk system, various difficulties, over 1000 achievements to grind, and a massive amount of fun heists to play gives you enough content to play this game for ages—and still find new stuff you didn’t know before.
