NOTE: Anyone leaving a negative review because of the lack of updates is an idiot. The team behind the game is microscopically small, even compared to other indie developers. This is why it takes a while. The game is only $30 and has no MTX. I think the value in this alone is enough to strongly consider purchasing the game.

This game is fantastic. The only game I would say I've gotten better value out of is CS:GO (which I have almost 3k hrs in). And I think in a way, this game is similar to CS:GO.

The game mechanics are simple enough to be learned in just a couple hours, but there is enough nuance in the different weapons, the way you can manipulate your attacks, and the mind-games you play with your opponents that the skill ceiling in this game is insanely high.

The game is pretty active, both for on the casual and competitive sides of the game. Ranked mode is amazing and my new main game mode.

Simply put, if this game looks like you'd find it fun, you WILL find it fun.

Amazing is all that can really be said about this game.

All the best parts about those games from your childhood, wrapped up into one, simply amazing bundle of awesomeness.

Seriously though, Payday 2 is such an amazing game. It is so very very satisfying and rewarding getting through a stealth bank heist with no hiccups and getting a ♥♥♥♥ ton of money, just as rewarding as slugging through a three day heist and getting ♥♥♥♥ all in terms of rewards.

The gameplay is superb, not so difficult that it's frustrating, though it can be if you choose, but challenging enough to not be trivial.

If you have any doubts about this game, don't. Trust me. Buy it.

oh, and can't beat that price tag.
