Hello! Glad to have you on my profile! My name is Seth but you can call me Goring or Masked (whichever you prefer). I was born in Tallinn, Estonia. I translate songs for my YouTube channel and also dabble in Photoshop and a bit of design, though most of my focus is on IT.

I’m a true music lover; music is everything to me! I adore all genres (except pop and rap), and you can check out my open playlists anytime! I used to edit and contribute a lot to Wikipedia and Fandom purely as a volunteer when I had more free time (I've since moved on). However, I've retained some of those skills! I also occasionally write game reviews and guides.

I'm not particularly fond of Gacha games or Competitive online games. I believe that games like Dota 2 and CS2 often do more harm to mental health than provide actual enjoyment. For this reason, I rarely (if ever) play CS2. I'm generally more inclined to befriend someone who doesn't play these types of games.
⠀⠀⠀ I don't play Limbus Company, Reverse:1999, or other Gacha games because they're essentially anime-themed casinos. Even with great storylines, gameplay, or features — it doesn’t change the fact that they’re still gacha games, no matter how lenient.

If I had to describe myself, I'd say I'm an extreme early bird. I wake up between 4 and 6 a.m. every day and go to bed around 9 p.m., much earlier than most people.
⠀⠀⠀ I'm also very pedantic and a perfectionist. I notice small details and care deeply about them — whether it's my physical desk or digital space, everything stays tidy and organized.

I am extremely careful about Cybersecurity and the Confidentiality of my data. When we first meet, please do not be offended if I do not reveal my real name or other details about myself, even if we have been communicating for a long time. Seth is just a pseudonym.

I'm a music lover. Lately, I've been really into Post-Hardcore, Metalcore, and the Emo/Scene genres. ⠀⠀⠀ You can see all my favourite songs here! My Spotify ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀  ⠀              1 2.0 8.2 0 2 5

“Just because you did something bad doesn’t make you a bad person.”

OMORI is a psychological horror game that should be played with almost no prior knowledge of its plot. It deals with dark themes, including depression, anxiety, and suicide, as already warned.
Therefore, this review shouldn’t contain anything that could be considered a major spoiler after the first hour of gameplay, but I strongly recommend playing the game yourself first.

What OMORI does very well in storytelling is the gradual buildup of the plot from the very start. You know that the game is a psychological horror with themes like depression, anxiety, and suicide, but you have no idea how and when these themes will be integrated into the story. While at first everything seems fun and cheerful, gradually you’ll be shown glimpses of another side, which will be repeated throughout the game. This leaves a lot of mysteries at the beginning, allowing you to make assumptions about what’s going on around you. However, as you progress, a clearer picture forms, leading to a magnificent climactic ending that justifies all the design choices!

As a story that revolves significantly around the characters present in the game, OMORI does an amazing job of creating characters you can genuinely care about and feel sympathy for. Each one has their unique personality, though exaggerated, which fits into the overall scheme of things. You’ll see how they interact with each other and how they change over the course of the story based on the situation. One of the key features of OMORI is that you can empathize with the protagonist; by portraying themes like depression, anxiety, and suicide, the game does a great job of showing how these themes can have long-lasting effects. This doesn’t mean you need to experience these emotions yourself to love OMORI, but it may resonate strongly with those who have been through them...

The story and characters are complemented by the visual and auditory experience of the game. All the soundtracks are simply amazing! They fit perfectly with the events: from relaxing music for exploration to intense themes during boss fights. They are definitely memorable, especially the ones that play during key moments of the game and leave you thinking about them later. As for the art style, the pencil-drawn style used in the game has a unique charm that fits the story and characters of OMORI perfectly. It was always a pleasure to watch during battles and scenes.

The battles in OMORI are turn-based RPG style — a genre I don’t particularly enjoy. However! Despite this, I found the battles quite enjoyable because there was enough variety. Characters and enemies have emotional states, which added strategy to planning and gameplay. And this is in addition to the various skills and equipment you unlock throughout the game, rewarding you for exploring the world. One thing that really kept my attention during battles was the pencil Art Style! It was always nice to watch the characters and their different expressions, especially when they were at different emotional levels.

If there’s anything to criticize, it would be the pacing. Often, I felt like the locations were stretched out, especially if you try to interact with everything in the game. At times, it might feel pointless if it’s not directly related to the main plot, but personally, I was fine with it since you meet a lot of side characters and soundtracks. However, this becomes an issue if you decide to replay the game to get alternate endings and/or fully complete it, as the battles start to wear thin along with the pacing problem.

I really enjoyed this game! And it stuck with me for its strong points. It has a big impact because of the story it tells and the message it ultimately conveys, and I’ve been thinking about it for the past few days... It’s an emotional rollercoaster throughout the game, and it was very satisfying to both cheer and mourn with the main characters. I definitely recommend this game!

Thank you for your attention.

The game just took my heart and shattered it... The broken fragments of my heart, it took them and tore them apart!
I will always remember this masterpiece...

After finishing, I killed a couple of characters. I am now empty from this game, pure depression — h1mboways

ᓀ Hello, Charlotte, this is more than just a regular JRPG. If you’re here, you’ve probably already realized that I want to put a huge emphasis on parts of Charlotte like "Junk Food, Gods, and Teddy Bears", "Requiem Aeternam Deo", "Childhood's End", and the alternate parts like "Delirium", "Heaven's Gate". The first three have very little gameplay, (DLC: Heaven's Gate is a Visual Novel) which is typical for any JRPG games for 1 euro. But that’s not the case here. Just look at the game or play it if you're interested, but don’t expect any kind of thrilling action game.

ᓀ And at the same time, I say: Hello Charlotte: Childhood’s End (along with the DLC, Heaven’s Gate) is one of the most emotional, impactful, and chilling pieces of art. It’s honest, irreparably vulnerable, and (as mentioned before) definitely more than just a typical JRPG. Even I still don’t know how to express the feelings that have built up in me. Hello Charlotte still leaves a reminder of itself.

ᓀ First of all, it’s the game’s style. Cute, yet terrifying, and possibly a little too bloody at times, overall it’s very beautiful, and for that reason, I wish it was more popular. The design has clearly improved in 3 games, and I don’t think that’s a bad thing. It’s nice to see when the writer and also the developer goes through all of this in creating the game, and even though sometimes the design changes made the game a little more confusing, I felt that it was worth it. By the way, I’m still in confusion.

ᓀ The story is amazing! But at times it’s very confusing and misleading, sometimes it has narrative inconsistencies that I couldn’t appreciate until I finished all three episodes. This is my only downside to the game. I felt like the story wanted to go in a certain direction, but then completely changed its course between games. This didn’t clear up any of the confusion I felt during the game.

ᓀ The third episode is actually just one part of the Hello Charlotte series, though my favorite!
Speaking from my experience, even if you decide to play this game before the previous ones, it won’t spoil the experience, and playing it after going through the older games is also a recommended option. Just prepare yourself for a bit of depression, suicide, and a truly touching story, this part has a lot of that~
